    Based on this thought experiment, what other questions are always relevant and always changing?

      Who are you with?
      What’s happening around you?
      What do you need right now?
      What are you feeling?
      What’s the weather like?
      What are your plans for the day?
      What did you learn today?
      What’s new?

    I started a Spanish conversation group at our church with a few people who speak Spanish so we could practice speaking. I’m not fluent. We had a husband/wife come and say, hola we’re here to learn Spanish, lol. I’m also not a Spanish teacher. I brought one of my matrix tabs to the group so I could practice talking on the topic that night so I gave them a copy and we started practicing. This 3 question approach will help me keep it focused. I mentioned your approach to our Spanish missionary (Guatemala). She’s been a Spanish teacher a long time and she really liked it.

    Some language trainers call these islands, I use hourly routine to cement acquisition of verbs with your matrix method. Well done Tony. I like your reference to fixed and variables.

    Started making a matrix chart half way through the video. Always enjoy your teaching. I can see how easy it is to come up with plenty to say.

    So, the idea is to use open-ended questions instead of close-ended questions?

    • @LanguageMatrix
      @LanguageMatrix  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Hi, both are good. Opened questions are just slightly more challenging than yes/no questions because with yes/no questions the answer is embedded in the question, while with opened questions the answer is not necessarily embedded in the question. Both are good practice, open ended questions are just more "weight", offering more resistance.
