+200,000 Russian refugees.... Hundreds of Russians taken prisoner....The civilians who remain in place do not defy the Ukrainians, unlike the Ukrainian civilians when the Russians entered their cities.... Lukashenko, Ahmat, or those in charge of building the fortifications are considered traitors by the Russians themselves....Putin makes faces on TV and looks depressed.... Even the Kremlin's propagandists are all disturbed and look like sad clowns, they wave the threat of nuclear weapons because they are powerless...
Russia is humiliated and forced to move forces from all directions... The Ukrainians are regaining good morale and destroying the Russian narrative of an inevitable victory....
How can we think that this is a good thing for Russia? This is madness. We have to accept that it's a total failure. Maybe Ukraine can make mistakes that will benefit Russia, but at first, many obvious harmful effects appear to the disadvantage of Russia.

@@yannheurtault8373 Always so quick to jump to conclusions. Russia seem extremely patient, and any betting man (even the bookies) have their odds firmly in RUs favour. They already have roughly 100k km2, Crimea, and a thriving economy. They can wait forever. They aint going anywhere. Not so for Ukraine. Its a crazy game, but we all know who is gonna win, the only question is by how much. If you think for one second that they will not retake that region eventually you are delusional...

Alexander Marckuris said that the real number is doubled by Ukros. Thatd mean about 36 villages captured. And the clips release by Ukraine are canned clips, which are circulated to keep Russian morale down. The ukro plan was to reach Kursk NPP by Aug 11th. That failed.

MILITARY TUBE TODAY-The Russian Armed Forces took initiative control at the Kursk site, taking the overwhelmed Ukrainian and NATO troops, a large number of which were captured increasingly becoming prisoners of war. In 48 hours on August 13-14, 2024, Russian military correspondents documented, several enemy groups becoming Russian captures on the border, but here some infographic images are not shown. Although some on the Russian side were also taken hostage and killed, this senseless operation, culminating in an ambush of Kiev troops by infantry, drones, or aircraft. They opened a new direction where Russian troops had a greater advantage was a boon for Russian troops, despite the temporary victory of Ukrainian media.
It always starts like this in all battles, even if Western mercenaries fight side by side with Ukrainians against Russia. Footage of Ukrainian troops serving in the 80th Air Assault Brigade, captured near the village of Ulanok by the 382nd Battalion of the 810th Brigade, or rather one of the battalions consisting of mobilized Russian fighters. In addition to an assault team of five Ukrainian soldiers who were captured, Russian soldiers also seized important equipment and a ridge in the area. One of the leaders is a suspect in a criminal case initiated by the Investigative Committee regarding the attack on Russian territory. According to the detainees, Zelensky sacrificed some of the most capable and experienced Ukrainian troops for the Kursk campaign.
A new wave of Ukrainian prisoners and liquidation operations, and destruction continue under the leadership of the Russian Special Forces and the Chechen Akhmat troops, on the border. Another Ukrainian detachment that was captured, stated that they had been in the region for only a day, capturing them very quickly in the first days of the operation. They were lucky not to meet Wagner fighters, because the Musicians had warned that they did not plan to take prisoners. A group of the detainees added about their desire to fight the Kiev regime, because throwing these people into the fire, like them were worthless. According to reports for August 13 only in 24 hours in Kursk, the Russian Armed Forces have eliminated up to 420 Ukrainian personnel in NATO operations.
According to the latest reports from the battlefield in Kursk, 120 French soldiers, 180 Polish soldiers, and dozens of British, Estonian and other foreign soldiers from NATO countries, have been identified. It seems that the entire operation was prepared abroad. It was a NATO operation from the start, analysts note. - Military Tube Today

This is going to be a mess for a little while, sure, but once their so-called "progress" slows to a halt, and Russian forces build up more and more, now it becomes a matter of attrition. • @WolvesValleyFarm
      @WolvesValleyFarm 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@N51Sierra uhhhm, right?... Maybe you should read up on your history. Montgomery had a very succesful career during the war. Rather than being responsible for the "low countries fiasco" He was able to cover the BEF retreat during the German offensive and prevented a mass casualty defeat. He managed to achieve this because contrary to his contemparies he correctly anticipated the German blitzkrieg tactics instead of expecting the same static warfare from the first world war.
In North Africa he was able to succesfully defend Al Alamein twice. Earning him the medal of merit. The 8th army of which he was in command took 30.000 prisoners during the 2nd battle of Al Alamein...
in 1943 in Tunisia he resisted Rommel's largest concentrated offensive into the over extended british lines and through sheer control over his men managed to redirect his army into an outflanking inland pincer. Going inland into the desert, especially during the bad weather they had at the time was a very dangerous maneuvre that Rommel never anticipated. Being an absolute madlad he did it anyway and was succesful.
Prior to the invasion of Siciliy he managed to convince allied supreme command to rework the plans and have Patton's 7th army land on the left flank at Syracuse and not Palermo. This change in plans was likely one of the major contributing factors in the much fewer than expected casualties during that operation.
After Sicily the 8th army went on to fight in Italy. Montgomery received a lot of criticism for his lack of progress. However, much of that can be contributed to a combination of fast German tactical retreats, blown up bridges, bad roads and lack of communication in the overall allied force. Despite this the 8th army under Montgomery placed continued hard pressure on the German defenders.
There is some controversy surrounding Montgomery's actual plan for the D-Day landing. Either he planned to seize Caen immediatly, or stage a holding operation there to allow more allied troops to disembark. Regardless. Montgomery faced the best German troops there. He had to deal with 12 German divisions. 6 of which were panzer divisions and 2 were elite Waffen SS divisions. (in contract the Americans to the west faced only 8 divisions and much fewer panzer units)
He held out for an entire month against relentless German counter attacks. Drawing Rommel's attention away from the Americans who had been tasked to seize cherbourg. He controlled his own losses while inflicting severe attrition to the Germans.
By July 14 he had inflicted 96.400 casualties on the German army group B, who had received only 5.600 reinforcements and were down to 40 tanks (from 700) While Montgomery still had 3 entire armor divisions in reserve and more allied troops landing every day.
During the rest of the war, up until Market Garden it was Montgomery who kept the allied momentum going by continously going after every deep water port he could get to avoid over extending the allied supply lines.
Of course Market Garden, for which he advocated, failed miserably. But it did result in salients towards Arnhem and Nijmegen which kept the Germans occupied and forced them to allocate significant resources to hold the line. Resources which they then lacked during the subsequent German counter offensive of the battle of the bulge. Montgomery was the one responsible for reinforcing and holding these salients.
During the battle of the Bulge Montgomery was in charge of the right flank. And it was his efforts that enabled the Americans to hold the line until Patton was able to relieve them.
Whereas all the other commanders during the battle of the bulge were preoccupied with local defences, it was Montgomery who saw the big picture. He placed British troops in reserve behind the americans. Secured supply lines and was solely responsible for turning the battle from a disperate set of isolated defensive positions into a coherent battle with effective command and control.
After the battle of the Bulge Montgomery commanded the northen flank of operation Plunder which crossed the rhine and resulted in the surrendering of 370.000 German troops.
In conclusion. You don't know what you're talking about :)

It has no continuous defensive positions so they can easily drive between the built up areas as there are only open fields not layered trenches. Look how easily Russia advanced in Feb 2022 when there were no fortifications, no continuous line, no defence. This is the equivalent of the opening of the war when advances came extremely easily. To compare it to the East in the present shows how little you actually understand about war. Fighting with no positions, only open fields and towns means you are gonna get routed by a blitzkrieg. Just look at any war in history where the attacking army broke past any prepared positions - look at the American advance once they broke through Normandy!
How can so many people be watching this every day but not actually have any interest in war enough to understand literally anything about past conflicts?
Even America v Afghanistan the long extensive battles were where they were dug in in prepared positions. People here don't understand the difference it makes obviously. The best army in the world won't be able to stop a determined advance without a line to fight from as the towns can be bypassed as we are seeing now.
Look at the Bulge before the clouds cleared for gods sake and how much progress Germany made driving into no existing positions other than towns and routing the Americans!

    @Red-Check-Mark 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +80

Ukraine attacks a sparsely populated civilian area in the Kursk region, they use fast-moving scout vehicles, drive as far as they can, and try to get pictures to show they are far in. Russia is already targeting these little scouts and have struck a few of them already. Getting more and more forces to Kursk is only going to prolong the fighting and eventually Russia will outnumber Ukraine forces as they simply do not have the manpower to serve the Donbas and Kursk fronts.
We've already been seeing a significant drop of "taken" territory by Ukraine in Kursk. They are inch-worming their way and for every squad and vehicle or armor that they lose, that is valuable resources that they cannot get back.
Russia always win with attrition. They always do, because their army is bigger, they have more production of arms, and there are always people joining up even now to defend their lands.
Dima, I'm rather disappointed in how you are reporting on this. They are literally driving through towns, snapping pictures, then leaving if they see any resistance whatsoever, even Russian civilians even. We've already seen several of their scout vehicles get struck down when they stopped. Russia is hunting them and still bringing more and more forces to Kursk to fight.
Just because I ran through three yards from my neighbor doesn't mean I have taken full control over them. Yes, there is a Ukraine appearance in those areas, but to hold this territory for long periods of time will take tens of thousands of soldiers, soldiers that Donbas front desperately needed as Russia rapidly starts to advance forward. We have seen only small units be deployed towards Kursk, while conscription forces, reserves, border police forces are working together to secure order.
Yes, Russia was caught off-guard. But Ukraine attacked one of the most vast places that has one "major" city and the rest on small villages. I will give Ukraine an entire month before Russia has fully stabilized the region and already started squeezing Ukraine out of Kursk.
We've heard it from other Ukraine military personnel and officials that this offensive was not the best use of manpower. At all. Captured Ukraine forces have spilled the beans about WHY they conducted this offensive and what their objective ultimately was. They did confirm that this is Ukraine's last breath attempt at something significant. Ukraine attacks civilians in villages, this shows that they are cowards.

Interesting developments. The Russians have more troops, more military equipment, air superiority and better surveillance equipment. Despite this when Russia moved tanks and vehicles small distances in the east and south of the line of contact, the Ukrainians were able to easily destroy these convoys, without the Russians taking significant ground.
But strangely the Ukrainians were able to move significant amounts of military equipment across the country and attack the Kursk without the Russians even noticing mmmm. They are also able to provide logistical support for these troops in Russia.
Now we are told that the Ukrainians are moving resources from Kursk to other parts of the front, but still have sufficient resources in Kursk to continue to move further into Russia. Mmmm.

Why do you think the Ukrainians haven't secured a supply line? I would strongly disagree with this. If this were the case, each soldier would fire off a few clips, and they'd be out (and it would be easy for the Russians to then move in and mop up the area). This isn't happening - the Ukrainians are still advancing. I'd say they have very reliable supply lines.

The more I watch this the more I'm sure this is the SBU and NATO making sure the Kiev regime don't have peace negotiations.
I'm suspecting that the government of Ukraine is fracturing further with Svaboda, the SBU and NATO on one side and Syrsky and the Zelensky (possibly) on the other. Of course there will be differences between these groups as well but this feels like the main two factions.
NATO doesn't want this war to end and the SBU and its fascists are of a like mind. I think the upcoming elections in the USA have put a scare up Zelensky and he's finally realising he'll be left swinging in the wind when the USA pivots to China and the Middle East. Someone has probably mentioned that Romania's Ceaușescu was killed by his own team when he became a liability . . .
Possibly wrong, who really knows what's going on? But the sheer amount of equipment being abandoned deep in Russia and these troops left unsupported feel to me a lot more like NATO is trying to get Russian opinion in favour of more war than a peace rather than any coherent military strategy.

I normally love watching the updates here but the latest commentary is very naive, with talk of Ukraine and Zelensky being in any position to annex Russian territory, it’s laughable .. Ina very short period Russia will have gathered a critical mass of troops and equip to decisively crush the Kursk incursion, Ukraine simply does not have the manpower or equipment for a sustained offensive operation of this scale .. Russia had very few troops and citadels in this area hence the reason Ukraine was able to make quick progress, tho still at substantial cost l, with troop and equipment that had previously been deployed along the Belarus border
As the Russians have moved in troops and reserves and established defensive positions the Ukrainian losses have been quickly mounting .. the losses cannot simply be replaced without collapsing the remaining entire front line in Russia’s favour, this means Ukraine retreating with their tails between their legs
In WW2 near the time of Germanys defeat there was one last unexpected push by the Germans called the battle of the Bulge where the German’s made rapid advances, but it soon ground to a halt and with massive losses that could have been deployed to defend the German heartland, it ultimately hastened the overall German defeat just as this Ukrainian stunt will do..
All this talk of Ukraine annexing Russian territory is both laughable and absurd…

The key factor, as it was in the Blitzkrieg, the Battle of the Bulge and in many later actions including the Ukie counteroffensive of 2023, is control of the airspace over the battlefield. The side which eventually loses does so mainly because it does not have air dominance. Same thing applies here.

This is not the same situation as in the Donbass front where when the Russians "take" something, they do so with overwhelming and absolute positional force.
Extend the RF line 10km+ and you will have an analogous situation. The Ukrainiacs are in these positions with relatively light armor and infantry...they have no entrenchments, no air cover, no artillery support, barely any drones it seems now as well.
