I last painted for A level Art in 79/80.Then in March for my 61st birthday my husband bought me oil paints and the rest of the kit. I have created my version of this and loved your tutorial, thank you. 42:4542:45
I knew this would be a fantastic painting. It’s absolutely stunning. The colours are vibrant and alive and I’ve learned so much. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with us!
I have just recreated this in acrylics and I’m so pleased with it! You are defineyly one of my favourite artists to follow, your positivity is infectious and I love it when it when you say “isn’t this just lovely!’ ❤️
Bonjour Stephen, cette toile est magnifique, ce ciel est incroyable.... quel talent c'est à couper le souffle. MERCI pour tous ces moments magiques. Bravo.💖👏
I can’t tell you how much I enjoy your tutorials. This is a little bit of a different technique for me, but I’m having a blast following along. I tried my hand at your cityscape and I was pretty pleased with the results. Room to grow for sure, but it was such a joy to paint. I’m really looking forward to trying this painting! Thank you so much for ALL of your tutorials. From Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, Dale one of your newest subscribers.
Hello Dale. It is my great pleasure friend....i like to keep it real and honest...even with mistakes...too many artists make their videos perfect without even tiny mistakes.. i like to show everything and how they can be fixed
Would Payne's grey be another choice to consider rather than using black? True Payne's grey contains blue as a constituent colour, I find I overuse black on its own and get everything muddy. The painting is really looking stunning, even unfinished :-)
Oh yes paynes grey would also work.. i did use it for many years... but it doesnt hold its darkness very well and its difficult to get really dark colours with it..
Absolutely amazing, this is just stunning. Depth and colour is outstanding, undoubtedly one of your best landscapes. Well done, will be trying this one for sure.
Superb Stephen... only just came across this one of yours. Brilliant use of oil colour. I use mostly acrylics, but may go back to oil for this one. I definitely enjoy your verbals during all your tutorials. I may join you on Patreon. Best regards.
Thank you Stephen.. you are truly inspirational. I really enjoy to paint along with you.. I can’t seem to find one or two of the reference photos though.. please keep up the good work.. really appreciate your time & passion.. regards from South Wales ..
