Another great video, Ari! It is all too easy to lose one or more years getting stuck on the head trash not so merry-go-round. Comprehensive planning towards a clear vision is what I love about Root Financial. As you mention in your videos, nothing beats retiring early with confidence!

The mortgage question was easy for me. I was paying 6.99% interest with no tax relief. Even if I were to invest such that the return represented a capital gain, and hence be taxed at 24% as opposed to income at 45%, I would have needed more than a 9.2% guaranteed return to benefit from investing what otherwise would have been redemption monies.

I'm saving & saving to retire at 60. If I drop dead with enough money that I could have retired sooner, so be it. The nieces & nephews then make out.

If saving money is motivating you and you feel good about it you’re winning. If you die in the process that’s life. You can gamble and spend thinking tomorrow won’t come but end up old and broke.

Ari, I am sure you this comment has been made before, but I will repeat. You are wise beyond your years! Thank you for helping the little guy plan for an early exit from the hamster wheel.

You look so young. I don't know if I would trust your advice, but I don't want to be an ageist. I retired at 57 with my DB pension and several personal investments, no debts, and a paid off condo in a great city. 👍 I have no regrets. My advice: hire a financial planner . He found me money I didn't know existed. Amen 🙏
