A Walk Through Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, World's Busiest Crossroad (Part 2)

Hamad International Airport is an international airport in the state of Qatar and the home of Qatar Airways, the country's flag carrier. Formerly known as New Doha International Airport (NDIA), it opened on April 30, 2014, with a Qatar Airways aircraft from adjacent Doha International. Qatar Airways and other airlines moved to the new airport on 27 May 2014. It was named by Qatar's former Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani named the airport.
In the 2021 World Airport Awards, Hamad International Airport became the first Middle Eastern airport to win Skytrax's World Best Airport, breaking Changi Airport's 7-year reign. For the second year, Qatar's Hamad International Airport is the world's best. At Passenger Terminal EXPO in Paris, France, the Skytrax 2022 World Airport Awards were announced.
