Low carb love I made the banana nut bread recipe that you posted but it turned out chalky. I did everything the way you said but it didn’t turn out right. I was wondering if you had any tips to help not have a chalky taste
Thank you so much for the vid I am diabetic and me and my mom discovered your channel and we loved it. I am 12 going on 13 . I just made your two ingredient brownies and it came out so good. Love you so much. You are my favorite TH-camr. Have a great day.
My husband is type 1, and I find carbs trigger my migraines, we also love this channel because her recipes are not super complicated and everything we have tried has been delicious. We are in our 30's and when were were kids there was no such thing as dietary restrictions or shugar free or dairy free. In the 80's and early 90's it was all about the shugar and artificial preservatives and coloring. It is so great to see that things are changing and that channels like this exist for people now.
I foolishly tried to make my own classic scone recipe substituting almond flour and sweetener, no coconut flour. Mine never came out as well as yours. I am seriously recommending this recipe. Delicious.
I literally just made your 3 ingredient brownies, banana bread (had to use almond extract bc I couldn’t find banana extract), and the blue berry scones are currently in my oven baking away. I love all your recipes! Thank you so much, love from Okinawa, Japan✨
@@prizzyB they weren’t as crispy as hers after 20 minutes. So I turned the oven off and left the scones in there for 30 minutes more. They tasted coconutty but not bad.
I am a Type 1 diabetic and have to watch my carb intake SO carefully. Recently I discovered your channel and website and I must say, you have some of best, most delicious, lowest carb recipes out there! I made the scones this morning, and they turned out perfectly, and were such a nice addition to the eggs I usually eat each morning. Thank you for all you do to help so many of us! I really appreciate you 😊💗
I absolutely love how excited you are to show us new recipes, you have such a genuine joy about it and its really uplifting to watch. Im living a keto lifestyle because frankly, and i have no science to back this up, but i notice less migraine attacks when i cut out carbs, but its hard sometimes because I love food. You really helped me broaden my low carb horizons and im very appreciative of all the work you put in
Gracias,.
Hi Mayra! I know you posted this video about a year ago but I was really hesitant to make this because I am not a baker and I love scones!! So I just made it today and it is so the bomb!!! Thank you thank you so much for all your excellent recipes!! You have saved my life!!! Per doctor’s orders I need to lose weight 😑 I am about 35 pounds over so I have a lot to go. So far I have lost about 10 pounds thanks to you!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼 You have a lot of amazing recipes that I love so much!! God bless you always!! 🙏🏼❤️
I made these today. I substituted the coconut flour for same quantity of desiccated coconut. I also kept the cut round without separating on the grease proof paper and slid onto baking tray. Everything turned out very well, thank you for recipe.
When I make scones I roll it into an 8 inch round then use a pizza cutter to make the wedges. These look delicious, I’ll have to try these as I recently had to go carb free due to diabetes.
1st bowl...DRY INGREDIENTS: 1 1/2c almond flour/ 1/3c coconut flour/ 1 1/2 tsp baking powder/ 12 c allulose OR 1/3 c other sweetner/ mix together 2nd bowl...WET INGREDIENTS: 3Tbsp avocado oil OR other oil/ 1/3c almond milk or heavy cream or half & half/1 whole egg plus 1 yolk/ 1tsp vanilla extract. Beat together then mix/beat into dry ingredients. Put a little almond flour on table to form soft dough. Flatten with hand between folded parchment paper to about 1 inch thickness . Cut into 8 pcs like pizza. Press blueberries in tops. Brush with beaten egg white and sprinkle sugar over. Bake 350 for 20-25 mins.
I’m going to try these very soon! I’ve been making scones for friends (regular ones) by Baker Bettie and they come out amazing. She has a great idea. She uses frozen blueberries and really cold butter. The blueberries won’t run and fall apart and she says the butter will make pockets of flakiness. I have only tasted one and it was to die for, but today I tried her recipe (Baker Bettie’s) in a Low Carb way and they’re tasty, but they aren’t beautiful like yours, Mayra! I will make yours tomorrow. I wish I’d found yours before I made these, but they’re still good. 🙏🙏 Thank you!!
Hi Mayra! So excited to try these. They look phenomenal! Funny story, I once hosted a Baby Shower and made homemade Blueberry muffins and the dough was BLUE! May be cute for a reveal party these days?! Today would be considered "tye dye" dough but I was SO embarrassed. I was just outta college. However, I did bake a little. Had no idea to make sure my berries should incorporated dry?! Needless to say, I've not made them since?! ;( Tfs... Blessings from Iowa, L PS: It was a girl! Lol
All your recipes are great I’ll make this on the weekend I have some banana bread left I made recently. I froze each piece just like the pancakes and have them ready in the morning
I was so excited to try this recipe. I used the swerve brown sweetener since that's what I had and I'm not sure that was a wise choice because I had a hard time getting the dough to not be so wet. They are currently in the oven and not really getting brown or hard lol. I will try them again using the exact ingredients you said. Ps, I did use 1/3 cup of sweetener since it was erythritol
Not for this recipe. Coconut flour is not a straight replacement flour. It takes more moisture so if you tried to substitute it the whole recipe would be out.
@@marianaaldaz8761 that’s a shame, I’m sure there are other recipes for scones that are keto or low carb, have a look around and check out what the comments say about them. Good luck!
Have you looked at erythritol? It’s one of those that your body can’t digest so it literally just goes in and straight back out . That’s the one I use as I’m not a fan of the other sweeteners.
I can tell you it looks nothing like a scone I would find at my local bakery but that's because I'm British and our scones are nothing like American ones. 😀 It looks delicious but I could never call it a scone.

Should use a sive to sift dry ingredients and to get big chunks out

Can you make these in an air fryer?
Can I use protein powder in place of coconut flour

4g net carb per scone!

Are there some good almond substitutes? Keto with almond allergy is hard!
If you are ok with other nuts I would imagine hazelnut would work. Google other but flours maybe?

Can you replace the almond milk with coconut milk?

4g net carb per scone!

I'm finding almond flour recipes are causing my stomach attacks to come back. I've been fine until this week when I started eating these scones.
For sweetener can I use regular sugar?
😍
Your not on Facebook anymore 😫. I haven't seen your stories.
Does anyone know if there are any keto sweeteners (sugar substitutes) that are 100% natural? The artificial chemical ones freak me out
I was wondering if honey or maple syrup would do the trick 🤷🏽♀️
How about Truvia (stevia)? Made from the stevia plant. It's what I use.
Have you looked at erythritol? It’s one of those that your body can’t digest so it literally just goes in and straight back out . That’s the one I use as I’m not a fan of the other sweeteners.
Monk fruit is natural.
