I'm so scared of the darkest tones. I'm always afraid of adding to much and it makes the skin way darker than it's supposed to be.
If you don’t practise you won’t learn x
Just do bad or easy drawings to practise so that you don’t mess up good artwork

I ended up having to get separate set of skin tone markers from a different brand. I just wasn't having any luck with the "skin tones" in the Ohuhu
@@christinacunningham4493 I think. They have nice colors for deep dark skin tones but other than that I have to use the same 3 markers and go over it with color pencils.
Thank you for this :D I always have trouble picking skin tones so even just seeing that part helped, because even though you thought some colors were too orange I think it looked nice in the end. I'll have to remember you can use a light purple to help cancel that out :D
They also have a skin tone set now that offers a few cooler colors that aren’t so orange.

This video was right on time because it’s hard for me to blend colors, I’m still practicing
I love that she did this video, but she was straight trippin about the darker skin tones, they look EXACTLY like darker skin shades. They’re a lot better than most because others have a green hue rather than orange. Also, #21 matches E15 from Copic on the first pass & on the second pass it looks pretty close to #94. It would be better if she actually practiced using darker skin tones so she won’t be as uncomfortable using them.
I don't think she was tripping, they may not look bad on video but the colors do look too saturated imo. Honestly? I prefer digital art because when it comes to markers... most of them are streaky af, too saturated or ashy and I hate that because I have a bunch of dark-skinned characters with different undertones -_-
R2 - nah the ohuhu markers are good for skin tones tbh and they aren’t streaky at all unless you go to fast as she said x

Yea I had theses for like a week now and the one day I brought them to school me and my friend we both lovveee to draw and when she was drawing with them she was like they are doo-doo because they don’t blend well so now thxs to you I’m gonna so her who’s markers are better thxs 😂😂😍😭

Your amazing , I’m not so good at blending but I would say I’m good for a nine year old. I only have the 50 pack do I only have 4 skin tones . It’s hard for me to use 21 and 93 since their top dark and orange so it’s very hard for me to do dark skinned characters which I really want to do
She is the best cUse I have all of the colourscopic ,touch five and ohuhu and I don't know how to blend properly

This is super helpful and I've been using markers for years! You should do a tutorial on how to do darker skin tones w markers--I see soooo many (popular) artists go so wrong, either super ashy or orange and it makes me wanna scream lol

Tip, cut out some cardboard panels to wedge in the front and back of the bag. This way the markers won't roll around much at all and you can better organize them!

I have the 100 set too, and for skin tones I usually use the letter markers, not the numbers (ex: W, G) cuz the fair skin colours for numbers seem really pink but I'll definitely try this out!!!!! Thanks so much this is really helping to improve my art!

I loved this video! Great job! If you ever get a chance look at good tutorials on painting the skin with paint and then apply that to markers. One of my asset classes in my painting class taught us that there is many colours and pigments in all skin tones. Including brown and black folks skin including hues of reds, orange, purple, blue, yellow. So this helps making more dynamic shading with markers if you understand more of how skin works and isn't just one solid colour. It's a pretty amazing find and I encourage this for working with colour mediums in the skin. The undertones, shades and hues.

I honestly like ohuhu markers more than copic. Yeah, yeah, I know “the more money makes it better” well, nope. I got a kneaded eraser it was expensive and it was sticky. I got a cheap one and it was awesome.

If it's running out of ink you can put a few drops of rubbing alcohol in it and somewhat revive it but the color will get lighter as you add more alcohol.
