Part of the old King road from Lærdal to Vang in Valdres, this road went all the way to Oslo. Some say this is the forgotten road and it was, the roads are restored and maintained.
There are many paths that people used before the roads were built, the Lærdal valley is full of history since it has and is a road between east and west Norway, the road goes from the fjord to the high mountain.
Borgund Stave Church is over 800 years old and is the best preserved stave church in Norway A valley with wild nature and spectacular formations.

It is very fun to hike or bike these old roads, real craftsmanship these old hand built roads and the landscape is just stunning.

Ancient roads are full of surprises, should walk it with metal detector, might come up lucky..!!!
