Yo Ando, does the handycam record digital video and then convert that to analogue? I have some camcorders that record to MiniDV and I would love to actually use them, but I was curious about the quality going from digital to analogue back to digital. Honestly quality is secondary at this point, I just want to know if the thing works on digital camcorders lol.
It does I’m using the word analog colloquially rather than literally for the handy cam, but I am using it literally for the VHS cam but as long as it has a composite output it should be fine it all records to digital In the end
Eco Tek mentioned! 🔥🔥🔥🔥. I love any place that allows me to get cheap records. Did you know that Target is selling a Frank Sinatra record for $35 right now?? That’s outrageous. Vinyl seems to hold up pretty well. I’m planning to get a lot of vinyl dolls too. If the dolls get out of shape, you just use a hair dryer or heat gun and they go back to the factory shape. I am a certified vinyl enjoyer. Dvds don’t hold up as well, sadly. The other day I was trying to watch The Game with my dad (horrible movie btw). It wouldn’t fill up the whole tv screen. Then we switched the aspect thing and it took up EVEN LESS of the screen. Black on all sides. Itty bitty. Also, it only had captions in Spanish. Then the dvd stopped playing five minutes in so we switched to streaming. I love physical media, but it’s also so delicate. I have a whole bunch of dvds but I don’t know if all of them work. I think it would be rad if we could put movies in vinyl form. If we did though, the discs would have to be HUGE to fit a whole movie. Hmmm
I have one of these. It works pretty well for capturing video as 4:3 or 16:9... that's about the only options, which is fine... however it records audio at 8khz mono. It's originally made for recording drone video footage, so it didn't need good audio quality. But most of the recordings I've made have had unusable audio, which is really unfortunate. :(
Wow you are the first one after myself of who I know went this route. I have even built a whole "new" camcorder based on that recorder because all parts are way cheaper than going with a used sony handycam. Unfortunately I have mic issues. The first I tried was coming from the fpv world with active gain control but unfortunately it only distorts and when trying the own electret mic path I think the amplifier value was still not high enough plus I got some noise :D
hey i have a sony handycam dvd202e camcorder and it can't read the discs i install in it i would like to know if i can use the mini dvr to still be able to take videos with it?
Hi video host here : I never had this issue with it but it can sometimes be difficult to find the correct av plug adapter. But I will say mine just straight up had a fault with it that I fixed
This is exactly what I was looking for!!!! Cheap, easy, and fun sized :D

kinda wish you'd have talked about the dvr thing beyond the fact that it exists

Hi there, on some other videos about this gadget they mentioned not to plug the AV out cable all the way in for it to work
