The reason Soul Food 2 has the same beat is that it was supposed to be Soul Food 1, but they couldn't clear the sample back in the day so they had to remake it themselves. Now that logic is ballin, he paid to clear the sample and finally got to use it. I think it's awesome

While I love Soul Food 2, I don't see the second part as a beat switch and more of a separate song at the end of Soul Food 2, so I could see that part getting mixed reactions and especially if the person isn't familiar with the storyline in TITS.

I agree with George’s point that when the beat changes in certain songs you find yourself wanting more from one of the two beats, however I think if the whole song was the second instrumental it wouldn’t have the same effect. The change in instrumentals really makes the second beat stand out and increases its impact when you hear it switch.

The flow, the vibe, the switch ups, the pockets he can fill in. That last verse is my favorite on the album just because of the vibe. Logic murders that vibe on that beat so well. Reminiscent of the incredible true story for sure in this song. I love how you guys have noticed one of his most talented qualities and that's Logics ability to make a great sounding sound.
