Bruce Trail - Beaver Valley: KM 94.9 - KM 102.5

A bittersweet hike with one of my best friends - the last before he moved away. We hiked the section near Epping, and it was a clear, warm autumn day and the walking was easy. We made such good time in fact that we arranged a shuttle and added 3km to our day! The wetlands were teeming with geese thinking about heading south, the view points across the forests were beginning to show the fall colour changes, and the added section found us poking in puddles trying to catch frogs. We had so much fun! And to celebrate this last great hike together, mom took us to the Rockwood Inn, just around the corner from the trail, and we got the most ridiculous, epic ice cream cones EVER!! (No, we couldn't finish them - but you gotta do something crazy every once in a while and this made us giggle every time we saw the photos!)
I miss Grayson like crazy, but I am forever grateful for this one last perfect day we spent together on the Bruce Trail!
