For some context (some spoilers for Hades II): this song is the boss theme for the boss of the second region in Hades II, which is sung/played diegetically by her and her bandmates, who are Scylla and the sirens of myth that caused sailors to dash their boats against the rocks. The region is, effectively, the ocean floor, so yes there's a *lot* of water stuff involved.
I've had this and "I am Going to Claw Out Your Eyes (and Drown You to Death)" both stuck in my head since I started playing this game and it plays during such a fun 3v1 boss fight too. When you knock out the drummer the drum part goes out. When you knock out the guitarist the guitar part drops out. It's so fun in that way. And yes you should absolutely do more Darren Korb and Supergiant Games music. It's all great and each game has several INCREDIBLE pieces of music but I've always had a soft spot for the Transistor soundtrack. "Water Wall", "Impossible", "We all Become". All of it is REALLY good
Almost like there sirens : ) Scylla is my favorite boss, right in front of Cronos purely cuz her songs are way to dam catchy.she got me like she got Ody
It's taken too long for me to find a reaction for this song. This is my favorite song on the soundtrack and it also makes me never want to get passed the part in the game when it comes on. Glad you enjoyed it as much as I do lol
Correct on pretty much everything. It's a water level. The lead singer is a voice actress and is doing a character voice here. It is a siren song. I enjoy pretty much all of Darren Korb's music. My personal favorites are Edge of Erebus (fun time signature), Crossed Flames, and Dommed City. Similar to this one and also popular is I am Going to Claw Out Your Eyes (and Drown You to Death). Sightless Shepherd is also a hit. From Hades, The Unseen Ones is ridiculous guitar work. Lament of Orpheus is great vocal work.
Yeah, to me, the Hades II OST is similar to Guilty Gear: Strive OST, where every songs is an absolute banger, and there's not even a bad song in there... My favorite from that OST is Crossed Flames, I am Gonna Claw (Out Your Eyes Then Drown You To Death), Eternal Longing and Sightless Shepherd! Also, I've been talking to Darren Korb, Erin Yvette, Ashley Barrett(yes, I know, it's hard to believe, right?), and they're just wonderful people to talk to!
Coral Crown is so good the first time I heard it it reminded me of my favourite band Blackbriar. It is the lyrical content, the voice and the whisper vocal backings that reminds me of Blackbriar, in a good way. Just give Cicada a listen and you will probably see what I mean, it is a lot more symphonic than Coral Crown and I am not saying it is copied. It is just really good music that happens to remind me of my favourite band.

Scylla really does have a harder time doing her job without Charybdis around to help.

I've been looking forward to a reaction of this song since I first heard it in game.

Also, the fact that Erin (VA who voices and sings as Scylla) is also a voice of Arlecchino from Genshin is just unbelievable to me 😂

Eternal Longing and The Risen Fleet are easily my 2 favorite songs from this game.

Great reaction and breakdown!!
Please react to "I Am Gonna Claw (Out Your Eyes then Drown You to Death)" too~
Who are correct with the water theme, it is the song of Scylla and the sirens. They are a heavy metal band you fight while they perform this song.
day 2 of asking rob to react to Battle of Award 42 from A Hat In Time
I don't want to be that guy but how about just playing the game?
