- 1 week update from my experience with the Heavy's H1H headphones for metalheads.
Forgot to mention call quality, those that I had calls with found the microphone to be decent and I found their audio to be clear on my end. These were perfectly fine for long video meetings and phone calls.
You can find them on heavys.com

I search TH-cam every week for reviews on these in hopes that people actually start receiving their headphones. So excited for these but super frustrated with the lack of communication on this 'slow release' or whatever they call it frim Heavys. Thanks for the video
I thought they made the batched release thing pretty clear in their updates. I'm not really sure why people were so confused about that. Unless they really just didn't actually read what was said.
@@LoyaltotheNightsky what was unclear was why when they would say this week, it was next month. And why when they would say this month, it was 3 months from now... Just be honest. Say you're behind. Be clear. Don't sugar coat it. That's all. Batched release is fine. But if you can't make this week happen, don't tell me this week is gonna happen. That's all
@@ColterRasmussen That's fair. Did you get yours yet?
@@LoyaltotheNightsky no unfortunately. Got an another email asking to update phone numbers and addresses but still no shipping confirmation.
@@ColterRasmussen Aww man. Sorry to hear that. I hope they'll come soon.
Thank you for doing this review, I'll hopefully have mine delivered soon!
Interesting and honest review.
I think some are getting disappointed because they bought into all the marketing of "the best headphones I've ever tried" and "it's like having the instruments playing in front of you", etc, etc....
I backed and bought them as a good and fun headphones to listen to metal and nothing else, and this review makes me assume that it is exactly what they are.
The initial review I gave listed a few songs I tested with and specifically which one gave me some pause at first. I then gave a very detailed response to your other comment, @bojaylabrum9608. If you've only watched this video, then yeah, you are going to not have the whole picture. The whole point of this type of review is an opinion on how they sound, from someone who bought them for metal music with hopes they also sound good for other music genre's that have similar tuning.
I love my HEAVYS 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Good review. Agree that the hell blocker switch is poorly placed. Sound-wise they are waaay to bassy for me, ruins my tech-death (Zenith Passage, Necrophagist, etc)
They look awesome and feel good though. Just a bit disappointed I have to mess with EQ on my devices.
Honestly, i felt like they had muddy highs and little to no bass
Some people think the bass is too much, while other think the bass is good. You can now adjust the bass and other setting in the app, so it is great. It is not meant to be crisp, clear, and smooth sound. It is to add extra punch for heavy music. You may need to adjust the setting for softer sounds or bass heavy ones. I have to increase the bass for heavy music. They may be a sweet spot where you can set and forget. Have not found that for all music yet. They are on the bulky side but I have not problek with it. They are not for everyone and you need to spend some time with it listening to different types of music but rock and metal are great. If you already have good quality normal headphones and want to try these, then go ahead. They will add something to your music listening experience. If you don't have good normal headphones, then get them first. This is not a replacement IMO but a supplement for heavy music lovers.
Thanks for your review. I hope to receive mine by September. Since you build computers, what are your thoughts on the Beelink N5105 on Amazon?
The intel N5105? The model i saw was the U59 pro, but i think it's a nice small computer depending on your use cases. Its too bad its a sata m.2, but overall it should be decent for web use or as a host for some applications needing low power wattage.
I was gonna buy these but ultimately I decided to stick with my Skullcandy Crusher Evo.
Best choice. Nothing compares.
Do you have delay when you use it on PC? If you use it with Bluetooth?
Crusher are way better
How are those? I was just looking at those and can’t really decide between those , the heavy’s , or just some AirPod pro maxs
They suck compared to these
Just got this cans today and so disappointed at least being used with iPhone !
Volume IS WAY TOO LOW !!
Am I doing something wrong ?
Maybe the supported codec for your media? Have a computer to try them on?
@@cilvre basically I’m just using iPhone-Spotify and even the crusher evo have more volume
Do you have the physical volume knob turned all the way up on the headphones themselves?
@@w4rth0g23 yup… hi finally returned them
Spotify has a volume adjustment in the settings I believe. Low regular and high for headphones use.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. How's the comfort of these? Have you tried them on for extended periods of time?
Regards
Super comfy, as long as you aren't in a warm room. The plushness is the right amount and they don't move around much if you are moving your head to the music. I've gone to sleep with them on if that says anything.
I regret the purchase. They aren’t that different from other phones, and they cost the earth and they’re heavy on my neck. I still want more bass and volume.
What are the cons? I’ve been watching a lot of reviews on these headphones but still hesitant to order them.
I can’t get the microphone work for my pc, if you connect via bluetooth to your PC they sound horrible, connecting with usbc sounds good but when you play online there’s no microphone😢
@@SATYRFROZT1 when using usbc, i believe they are headphones only. Bluetooth is needed for mic and sounded better for me than usbc. If your bluetooth doesnt sound good, there may be competing 2.4ghz transmissions messing it up.
@@cilvre yes I figured that just right now, but going blutooth on pc the sound is horrible
Anyone else having a pretty distinct hissing noise on the Heavys?
I get a ANC type hiss when connected through USB-C, on all three of the options (OFF/ON/Hellblocker).
When running them over bluetooth i get the hissing just before and 6-7 seconds after any sound playing, including the connecting/connected voice.
I have not experienced that, i would reach out to them as they may need to replace it for you
do you need a headphone amp in wired mode or do these use the onboard amp built in for wired mode? thx
@@ImakeTanks you need some amplification if using them in standard audio jack instead of usbc mode for wired options. It didn't take a lot of power to run it though, and going to a larger amp didn't really help it have more headroom in any way.
@@cilvre thanks!
Finally got the email for shipping.... Hopefully no dumbass steals my packages 😅😂
When you say USBc is only 16/48, does the usbc not have analogue audio?
It is using its internal dac to convert to 16bit by 48hz, you can use the 2.5mm jack on the other side to get analog audio into it
I felt like these had no bass at all
Everyone saying bass is great and i though bass on these sucksss
Pretty much my exact thoughts on them as well.
Mine have a white heavys Font greetz from Germany
Interesting
