And we can see how imperfect his character, his superior personality yet deep down he just insecure because the only thing he can offer to her is his ability compared to that painter. I have to come back and watched it again ..and again Arthur and Jingyi sure are great actors … seldom do I see actors transitioned before our eyes.. such a dedication for Arthur to even gain pounds -he showed us two personas- one from college - slim ,blond hair to black ,bossy strong willed playful eyes to a more mature persona post prison - serious , sadness beneath those pearcing gaze but still stubborn and strong willed . As for Jingyi - she potrayed also a strong willed young woman on the second part , smart and so beautiful and of course forever loyal to her first love ❤️ … beautiful series
Both grown up from different family when she meeting him was a big surprise for her an arrogant genius but really talented then she found just he was a boy with a lot setbacks cold outside but warm heart at the same time... he wrong when break up with her, he thinks her perfect world doesn't suffer pain but at the all misunderstood come clean they could be together..... really love their chemistry
