Sandeul is very expressive when his belting notes and even singing (he's eats the microphone right?). While Kyuhyun is more like a very cool and calm oppa. I think they both slayed it. Sandeul's voice is just sharper while Kyuhyun's voice is much more relaxing.
@@Asnnerd Like I said, that's not how it works. This video isn't about comparing VOICE, it's comparing VOCALS. Two entirely different things. Voice = Subjective and depends on individual preference. It's the tone basically so one may like some which the others might not. Vocals = Objective and depends on how good someone's technique is hence it can be compared like this video. It depends on one's breathing technique and expertise over their instrument. In fact I can tell you the difference between the two. They're the best Male vocalists Kpop has to offer technique wise, like there's zero competition but Kyuhyun is better than Sanduel. Why? Because he supports higher. Sandeul supports upto a B4, Kyuhyun on the other hand supports upto C5 and has shown support as high as Eb5 (which is uncanny for a male vocalist because even females struggle with Eb5 in Kpop). On top of that, Kyuhyun has a very balanced mixed which isone of the reason he's able support higher than Sandeul. Whereas Sandeul uses a very chesty mixed voice (hence his voice sounds more louder and rougher than Kyuhyun's whose voice sounds soft), as one ascends the chestier the mix the harder it is to retain ease and support. So yeah, Kyuhyun>Sandeul technique wise, but they're both great compared to other males in Kpop.
I prefer Kyuhyun because his belting is healthier & more resonant, but I can totally see why people would gravitate towards Sandeul as well! They're both excellent singers & vocalists!
Oh I know they both have really healthy technique, and I agree that their resonance isn't really far apart. They're really not far apart in skill at all, I'm just stating my own preferences ^^
My only gripe with Sandeul is that stylistically speaking, he is a chestier belter that likes to be more aggressive with his singing. He does know how to keep an open throat and support, but his chestyness can make his voice tired easily. Kyuhyun's more relaxed approach allows for easier singing, less fatigue, and generally speaking, a better approach to healthy singing.
***** Sandeul's Bb4 and B4 are pretty good tho. He has different approach (chesty mixed) and with more volume but its well supported and resonant. Kyu has a more balanced mixed with less volume but still resonant and supported. I still think up until B4 they're equal but Kyu's C5 is definitely better although there's still some tension/high larynx.
Sandeul is really great too, but kyuhyun's technique is really undeniably better than him, and his high notes always sound so relax and resonant I have no idea how he did that

The problem about those battles that most people mix techniques with style As you said euli likes to use a lot of emotions and power and Kyukyu is the cool and smooth guy It is their style of singing ~ and style preference differs from person to another. But when it comes to techniques Kyuhyun is a bit better than Sandeul. Slightly better, not much differences in fact.. Kyuhyun is my ultimate bias, but I love Sandeul too, and here I don't know if I can choose! They're both just different :) I'm forever grateful for Kyu's voice though, considering we almost lost it and/or him years ago.

A lot of videos of Sandeul's has better quality so you can hear his voice more vs Kyuhyun, but I am so in love with Kyuhyun's voice because it's so soothing yet it holds power. Maybe I am biased but Kyuhyun wins for me.
The difference is the chest ratios in their mixes. Sandeul has a chestier mix, so his style of singing are powerful notes with lots of impact. Kyuhyun has a higher head ratio in his mix, so he doesn't have as much power, but easier vibrato, and able to support one note higher. Both very strong vocalists either way.

Kyuhyun has been around much longer, probably receiving more professional training than Sandeul, about 5 years if you look at debuting times. Plus he's had many solos where he's been able showcase it, both in and out of suju. It's interesting if you look at Sandeullie and Kyuhyun's improvement over the years, which they both seem to have a lot of, non technical wise.

Honestly in my opinion kyuhyun's vocals bring out emotion and feeling. I'm not a professional when it comes to music, however I have 6 years of singing experience from choir and practice. When I try to determine who's better, I go off based on the ability to pour emotion out of your singing and how well you can control your vocal range and tempo. Personally I think kyuhyun is capable of meeting those requirements and more. But he's also my bias and I love him💖💖💖💖

I just love to came back here and watch this video anytime I want to hear great high belted notes. I'm an ELF, Kyu stan, and when I watched this the first time I got really surprised to see how great of a vocalist Sandeul is. Of course I think Kyuhyun's better, objectively speaking, but I can't help but agree that Sandeul is also great (he's Kyu's son after all lol)
For me Sandeul won, mostly because you can see how much emotion he is putting into it but you can hear the same amount of emotion in his voice as well. I really like it when singers show how hard they try instead of making it look like it's really easy. Also I just tend to like Sandeul's voice more, especially his performance of Just The Two Of Us😍I listen to it everyday, his voice is just too beautiful....☺️
Kyu seems to be more effortless, his notes are softer. Sandeul has more powerful notes, but it looks like he must use more power, more strength to sing. They're equal up to A4, above A4 Kyu sounds better - my opinion

Sandeul is loud strong vocal, while Kyuhyun is more a soft. one. Both are good, but Kyuhyun has better produce up until C5 even still not that consistent while Sandeul until B4 with more chesty starting Bb4.
There's so much slayage in this video my gosh... Never seen this much slayage in one K-Pop video. Personally, I prefer Sandeul, but Kyuhyun has the upper hand on that C5. This goes to show the mettle of K-Pop's strongest male vocalists.

I just love to came back here and watch this video anytime I want to hear great high belted notes. I'm an ELF, Kyu stan, and when I watched this the first time I got really surprised to see how great of a vocalist Sandeul is. Of course I think Kyuhyun's better, objectively speaking, but I can't help but agree that Sandeul is also great (he's Kyu's son after all lol)
For me Sandeul won, mostly because you can see how much emotion he is putting into it but you can hear the same amount of emotion in his voice as well. I really like it when singers show how hard they try instead of making it look like it's really easy. Also I just tend to like Sandeul's voice more, especially his performance of Just The Two Of Us😍I listen to it everyday, his voice is just too beautiful....☺️

Sandeul has more powerful notes, but it looks like he must use more power, more strength to sing.

Kyu has a soft but has great power of dynamics, comparing to.sandeul which has strong and powerfull pitch.thus,,kyu's edge is he has a wide range,and he has a distinct tone while singing

Sandeul is loud strong vocal, while Kyuhyun is more a soft. one. Both are good, but Kyuhyun has better produce up until C5 even still not that consistent while Sandeul until B4 with more chesty starting Bb4.

There's so much slayage in this video my gosh... Never seen this much slayage in one K-Pop video. Personally, I prefer Sandeul, but Kyuhyun has the upper hand on that C5. This goes to show the mettle of K-Pop's strongest male vocalists.
It's about the mixing, while Kyuhyun has almost balanced mix, Sandeul is more chest dominant. Their rating is not far apart tho. Kyuhyun can mix to C5, and Sandeul not. His highest supported mix is up to B4.
