I’m so relief and grateful after watching this video, I have made improvements for my impinged ankle (anterior) after 2 days of the exercise. I also combined it with massage using a lacrosse ball. Thank you again!
Woke up this morning couldn't stand on foot. Found this video I didn't have the band but I tried to squat like that couldn't really at first hurt really bad but it also felt good like a stretch in my lower leg under the calf where foot meets , took a rest and repeat again about 3 times. Then I was able to walk. Never thought about stretching that area. Man is it ever stiff. When I was massaging that area yesterday it made it worse but this helped am able to walk and no more pain. Definitely going to be stretching like this from now on. God bless. 🙏
And the pain was not directly in the ankle it was right on top side of my foot in front of the bone where the ankle is located.
I have gout in my right foot and last week it came on bad. And I woke up with this pain in my ankle I will be trying the stretchs in the morning and I will comment the results. Thank you and greetings from new Zealand.

for the medial inside impingement, calcaneous area? thanks
i first experienced this pain after an ankle sprain, after 2 months i still experience continuous pain when driving a car when braking and accelerating or down the stairs
Sir I'm doing that exercise with band but still getting small impingement pain please reply sir i have competition I have to start my training
Mine hurts not on the outer side but the inner top side of the ankle though? is it the same thing?
Hi,
What would be the right exercices in order to build up the muscles that would ensure the right possition and avoid such impingement?
Im not an expert in the field but this is what I understood after fighting with a shoulder impigement: that beside streching / removing pressure you also have to build the muscles around that area
did you find out?
@@harrycrosby7302 Something that helped me (but I have no way of explaining why and how, it might not work for you):
Stand on one leg and swing a weight from one hand to another around you. I was doing 20x2 on each leg
looks like a stabilization exercise to develop the feet strength, mainly the sole. Imo that's caused by flat feet @@virgill6881
@@virgill6881I did these with the band on my talus in the video, swear your exercise with the weights it’s literally the best for this injury. Forces you to balance.
If anyone has this impingement really bad, put a resistance band just like in this video, but also swing a weight (no more than 20lbs) and stand on the impinged leg and swing the weight side to side in front of you while balancing. Feels Incredibly good and alleviating.
Please help get terrible shock of pain coming from now still fractured/ broken ankle left ankle.
My right foot the 5th metatarsal injury or bone is still extremely painful
I dont have the pinch on the side i have it above the foot. In the hindfoot but above and Not on the side
I can't even do this exercise. It hurts real bad to even sit in this position.
Thank you
I have the same pains in my impingement and I can feel it in my Achilles tendon I’m being dealing with this injury since last year and it doesn’t stop me from playing football but anytime I shoot ball with power then I start feeling the pains in my impingement for a while then it go off again . Please how do I get this pains away forever
I have almost the same problem from over 3 months hows yours is it healed now?
When i do it i feel so much pain is that ok ?
Hey man, did u fix it? i also feel pain while doing it
@@DexFlexing hey
Yes it’s ok if u feel in pain when u doing it
I did it 5 minutes in morning and 5 minutes in night for 10 days and all pain is gone
Now my ankle is very good
@@keobex9074 are your ankle still fine till this day?
@@sivertl156 yes and it’s become more flexible than other ankle !
Thanks for your comment mate, I’m having pain while doing it aswell but slowly it’s getting better even after 3 days. Actually amazed I didn’t do this earlier
The exercise is almost correct, but the reasoning behind it is missing. This is most likely due to the talus bone in the foot. Typically a downward pull would be better, and in my case the talus needs to be moved to the outside of the foot (not straight back or to the inside). Once this is done then more ankle dorsiflexion can be gained. I'm trying to find out how to make the talus bone do this on its own, and I don't know if it gets better or not. (I haven't put in consistent work yet...)
Thanks for your input and for watching!
