nascar 08 is more of a game you'd use to let off some steam and crash people out in practice than an actual nascar game ...this game is so broken i posted two videos on my channel within an hour or two to show off glitches
I got this on PS3 and was beyond disappointed. Literally couldn't play it the handling was so bad. 09 was better, and had the awesome online paint booth, but just like EA's other series, they failed so hard at making the next gen bump
I tested the PS2 version on PCSX2 and it's so much better. Still has goofy physics but the framerate is so smooth at 60fps compared to the 30fps on PS3 and Xbox360.
NASCAR 08 on PS2 is pretty good. It’s basically the same as NASCAR 07 and NASCAR 06 so it’s a pretty solid NASCAR game. NASCAR 08 on XBOX360 and PS3 is a total disaster and is borderline unplayable.
I remember searching online for track specific car setups, just to stay competitive when playing online ps3. If you went out with default settings you’d be lapped
Man, this is one of the worst but it's playable if you get used to the awful steering. I actually played this on the PS3 and while I was doing the Chase mode, I couldn't get passed the road course races especially Watkins Glen (it's not because I was bad, my car kept exploding at the esses every time with like 3 to go. Like my car would explode and I would get a white screen then the game freezing.
While i loved this game and nascar 09 back in the day they seemed to have polar opposite handling in 08 your car felt loose all the time and 09 you were to tight
I gave up on this game awhile ago other than trucks I sucked though even with trucks I still sucked ass at the plate tracks like it’s so hard to pack race in this game

Agreed. Even the Ps2 version had physics flaws and seemed like a downgrade compared to 07 (with the exception of improved fps), but was much more fun
