    Glad you got a pressure pot. Just so you know- the wood stick will also release air and add to the bubbles you see in your resin in the pot as it pressurizes. I would suggest removing the wood stick before you pressurize :)

      Vacuum chamber this takes out the air. Pressure pot looks like a pressure cooker with wing nuts and has to run until cured.

    • @lindacondray7918

      As Janel pointed out, this is a vacuum chamber. VC pulls the air out of the liquid and releases bubbles. Pressure pots make the bubbles smaller (micro size so less visable.) Pressure pots you leave the item in while it cures until fully solid. Hope this helps further.

      @@the.resintist don’t nearly all resin artists on TH-cam call them pressure pots? No need to correct anyone when most if not all people watching the videos will understand what is meant, even if they’re not using what you consider is the correct terminology.

    • @the.resintist
      @the.resintist ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@ShintogaDeathAngel I have one exactly the same and there called vacuum pots the pump sucks air it doesn't blow. Pressure pots are totally different they have four locking points at the top or a screw down lock so the pressure stays inside basically doing the same job. The major difference is you can't leave a piece in a vacuum pot as it will cause the resin to ver heat like. If you go to outer space and get out the craft with no suit your blood will boil and you will go pop. Where as a pressure pot you can leave a piece in their to guarantee pretty much zero bubbles. If you Google it you'll see artists with pressure pots leaving the piece inside till it's set but never when using a vacuum pot. I think it's important to educate people how to use them correctly. Like closing the valve directly as the pipe enters the meter when vacuum is cut off or this can cause damage to the pump. They aren't cheap. And come with minimal oil so fisrt thing you need is a bottle of oil which isn't costly and will most probably last a lifetime. But without you'll never get full vacuum and possibly damage to the pump.... Only saying as I wouldn't want anyone to get one and not understand how they work and how to use them. I'm going to do a video on how to AMD what not to do with a vacuum pot 😉👌🫶👍

    One suggestion with the vacuume chamber, if you are going to walk away and leave things under vacuume with the pump turned off, turn the blue handle, which will keep the vacuume from pulling the oil from the machine, into the tubing and into the pot itself. A lesson I learned the hard way. 😉

    Love the outcome looks great. Just FYI for those saying pressure pot. It’s a vacuum chamber. Two very separate things. Just in case anyone wanted to get one and started searching for the wrong thing. Vacuum chambers suck the air/ bubbles out of the resin but you can only do small amounts at a time as when the bubbles get pulled out the resin “foams” and can overflow. A pressure pot “pushes” the bubbles / air with immense force so that the air bubbles are squished so tiny it’s impossible to see them. So vacuums pull. Pressure pots push.

    • @ChaseWilder
      @ChaseWilder ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@PouringYourHeartOut Hi 👋🏽, if you were concentrating on larger pours you would be better with a pressure pot. Smaller pours you can use a vacuum chamber but really it’s personal choice. If you are happy to just keep doing layered pours like you did in this one where you went to and from the chamber and then just added the resin to the mould then you don’t really need a pressure pot. The down side to a pressure pot as well is that they only come in certain sizes and some larger moulds are difficult to fit. To counter this you could just use a larger container to mix your resin then put it in the vacuum chamber. This way you will have more to pour without to and “fro’ing”. It’s just a balance of not getting too much resin so it overflows when it comes to a vaccine chamber. Best to do some tests and see where your volume limit lies. Hope that helps. I’ve done extensive research as I want a pressure pot myself but I am saving atm. I am not always good at explaining things though. Just wanted to make sure everyone was aware as the two can get very confusing especially if you are looking to use one yourself.
      P.S keep up the amazing videos I love how out of the box you are and how the designs and ideas you have are ones rarely seen and not just following the “trends” of everyone else. 😊

    I’m also the one who suggested the pressure/vacuum pot. Mainly because Nick Zametti uses one on his resin pieces.

    Julie welcome to the club I love my vacuum chamber. Be sure to use a large enough container and don’t run on full without watching it so it doesn’t overflow. Reminds me of beer in the beginning. I just open the valve a little slowly so it goes back down or splatter from the air coming in.

    The koosh ball worked wonderfully well 🥳. What a beautiful snail! Next time you use your pressure pot, try taking out the wooden stick. I suspect some of the bubbles came from the wood.
