Never saw a drummer with so little, almost non-existing, amplitude on kick drums. Guy has to work on his technique, without triggers he would be totally lost.
Well, at this speed triggers are required anyway to have reasonable clarity. It doesn't matter that he would be "lost" without them - what matters is that he is playing super tight.
