Like, he has so much power over them yet he's uncomfortable exercising it and is instead trying to please everyone and be everyone's friend because he's just such a people person and is very insecure. There's a similar story-telling game called Once Upon a Time you might like.
Not quite the advised rules, but the ones we play by.
One person takes control of the story and plays cards as they go, attempting to reach their ending card.
When the story-teller says a word that is on a card in another player's hand, or if a player uses an interrupt card, that player can take over the story and try to get to their ending. We allow the asking of questions. Adding expansions improves the game.
