Lucas, you are amazingly shining with your piano use of that painting!
The title NULL is zero comes and disappears with every key you play. Yet as I listen to the music and view the painting I see something so moving! I see Jesus saving a lamb from the pit of darkness. I clearly see Him holding the lamb up. At first I thought the remains of a tree trunk but no, it’s Jesus. That lamb could be anyone of us in the past, present or future. Think about and really look at the painting/picture! Yes, I am sane. I just love art of all mediums.

The build is fantastic, it's exactly how an urge feels: slowly creeping up on you only to get harder to resist the temptation, gradually becoming the one thing you think of. Only to over take you or you must overcome.

A lot of truly big talents, i believe Mozart aswell, are underrated along their life, not to speak of the talented people that remain unseen. Whereas Lucas King obviously is being recognized for his, just not on the scale the most listened to artists are.

@Donkey Punch Knock-Out I like both. I've never heard pedestrian used to describe music, but Lucas' music is certainly very good. It's just a different thing than Mozart. If I want to hear an hour-long story told in music, I look to Mozart. If I want to hear a dark piece told in around 5 minutes, I'll listen to King. There's no reason that multiple types of music can't coexist.
this music perfectly encapsulates the feeling of getting random urges out of nowhere and for no reason, and the efforts to resist said urges and continue on with life

The feeling that beckons to me, no, begs me, to listen.
Listen to what? A feeling? The enticement of an unseen hand, pulling me towards itself?
I take an unsteady step forward, then another, I can't stop. Mud, water, tears.

I'm standing on the edge now. Can I turn back? Will I?
But it is futile to resist, I can't control myself, can't walk away.
But something holds me back. Perhaps the last of my sanity, or a will to fight, free myself of this entanglement of emotion.
I am shaking now, openly weeping. But the feeling persists, as does the drumming of the rain, reminding me of reality.

It amazing how you accurately represent these abstract concepts
Fits my story remarkable well... The word "urges" fits the antagonist in many ways, and the quiet moments fit the protagonist's constant paranoia. There's also the suppressed feeling of ominousness and panic underneath it all, representing the mental strain that constantly being stalked and attacked for more than half of her life puts on the protagonist.
I love the rain effect in the background, it just adds a little something to it.

Not that much during daytime, but more at night... I often find myself just laying around in my bed, sleepless... It comes to me every night...
A sudden feeling...
A feeling of wanting to end it all...
A feeling of wanting to be finally free...
To get rid of everything...
At some points, without even noticing it, I find myself standing in my home's kitchen, holding a knife...
I don't like that feeling... but nor do I dislike it...
My palms, sweating in anxiety...
My legs, trembling in fear...
My breath, stuttering in agony...

"Am I really hopeless?"

I like the aesthetic of the elf (Vampire?) in the picture with the music. As I'm sure others have stated, urges creep up on you, but more so when you're one of these fantastical creatures. The urge to be the best, to steward others who are lesser, the urge to drink blood and sustain your life. Urges, that at their core are part of each of us.
For who hasn't wanted to continue their life at the detriment of others? Or at the adverse end, seen THEIR end as the "end-all-be-all"?... or the urge to Shepard forth those who have gone through our own trials? Urges, all the same

To feel the warm steel against my skin was a feeling of dread and bliss all at once. I only 17 have yet to know what the enjoyment of life after death is until this moment when she stood there grinning me to commit the act of self purification. My eyes water and my hand shakes. She guides the everlasting abyss close to my chest. I fail to realize this is the end. Until it is too late. The urges I feel are yet to be satisfied.
