their is nothing wrong if the king advises the scholars, it is his responsibillity to command good and forbid evil as well, may allah guide him and take him away from whatever wrong he is commiting.

As for telling the king that he needs to change the policy were needed then the Scholars are doing this, but they follow the guidance given by our prophet (sallahu alaihi wa sallam) in this regard. As he (sallahu alaihi wa sallam) taught us to give them advice in secret. That’s the way we should fear Allah. May Allah increase us all in knowledge.

I can't help but feel, that this is merely a demonstration of piety. Why don't any of the Scholars dare to ask the King to change his policy, and help those whom he oppresses?
