    What a great tutorial, thank you so much! I was trying to do figure it out on my own using Affinity and measuring and drawing directly in it - it never crossed my mind to scan a hand drawing. This is so much easier. Hopefully there will bi more parts in this series. I would love to see how to handle pieces that are too big to be put on one page. Thank you again, those 20 minutes have really saved me countless hours.

      I feel like I have more control over the design if I start with hand drawing it out, THEN digitizing and going from there. That's why I like the path tools in Photoshop (and Illustrator). It allows me to adjust the shape pretty easily without having to start all over.

    Thanks for very useful tips! I am using Microsoft Power Point for writing my patterns, I tried illustrator but my old brain couldn’t figure it out 😅😅😅.

    Thank you for posting this video. I literally had no idea how to go from sketch to PDF.

      I think that's the hardest part for most people. I could have gone more in-depth with the Photoshop portion, but I also didn't want to overwhelm people who didn't need that level of detail. Hmm, maybe a side video giving that tutorial and linking these two?

    Why not use photoshop's built in sizing tools like rulers, grids, and/or guides?

      That's a good point. I should have highlighted that! Funny thing is I prefer using Illustrator now >_

    I was trying to find part one of this. Would you consider linking it so we can easily find both parts? Thank you!

      On it right now! Thanks! I know I added it as a "card" but it's in the first few minutes.

    Would doing this in a CAD Software make this easier and not need to do a paper prototype?

    • @fiercekittenz
      @fiercekittenz  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oh, 200%! I actually started using Illustrator over Photoshop and paper now.

      nice! i like illustrator too,
      do you use any CAD software like Clo3d or Marvulous Designer to help visualize the prototypes with the pattern pieces or maybe that's overkill for basic designs like backpacks?@@fiercekittenz

      I was looking for photoshop and illustrator - the subscription I purchased is for 6 months- do you recommend any other software deals for digitizing homemade bag patterns?

      @@madcreating If you want free, you could try Gimp (photoshop clone) or Inkscape (Illustrator clone).
