Good explanation but would like to add something more of S-Mode . When u shift to S mode then the default S4 mode which indicates gears will move from 1 to 4 automatically ie the maximum gear in this mode is 4th. When u shift down (-) S3 then the maximum gear is 3rd and further S2 then the auto gear shift will limit itself to 1st and 2nd only. U can also shift up (+) to S5 and S6. Sequential mode is used while go uphill or climbing down hill to control the speed of the vehicle. It simply means that if the climb is too steep then shift to S3 so that you get more power and the gear movement is limited between 1st to 3rd. This feature is unique in Innova unlike other automatic cars where S mode mean manually shifting the gears up to the desired speed.
