You both are right but its editing in general to make it your own. Its what they call a "trance" with higher pitched voice, extremely fast yet catchy/rhythmic beat, and you have the option to speed up the melody. Some people even change the voice entirely like some people make female versions of songs sung by males. But in general, you were right with the whole editing part.

Its about these five kids who love baseball and end up playing it in highschool. They find new members to play to and they become best freinds. If you like baseball or sports this is probably the best anime anyone could watch. 😄

Speed and pitch are increased. Some people also increase the bass. It's a lot better to dance to nightcored songs than those that are not. Other people also remix the songs as well.
