Reducing the heat input of a balloon to 3% after an extended period of 8% heat won't make it come back down, it just won't climb as fast. You have to reduce the amount of hot air in the balloon, or to the point, _deflate_ it to make it come down, just as the economy needs an extended period of deflation to get prices back to 2016 levels.

Current inflation might be 3%, but the INCREASE due to inflation over the last 4 years has been astronomical. For me, grocery prices on basic items like milk, bread, eggs, and meat is at least double since PBHE (Pre-Biden Harris Era), except milk, which is more like about 50-60% higher than PBHE. Even more problematic is that she keeps proposing that the solution to prices being so high is to dump MORE cash into the economy through various vote-buying schemes, which will once again feed inflation. Inflation is like a hot air balloon - the more you add, the higher it goes. Reducing the heat input of a balloon to 3% after an extended period of 8% heat won't make it come back down, it just won't climb as fast. You have to reduce the amount of hot air in the balloon, or to the point, _deflate_ it to make it come down, just as the economy needs an extended period of deflation to get prices back to 2016 levels.

Current inflation might be 3%, but the INCREASE due to inflation over the last 4 years has been astronomical. For me, grocery prices on basic items like milk, bread, eggs, and meat is at least double since PBHE (Pre-Biden Harris Era), except milk, which is more like about 50-60% higher than PBHE. Even more problematic is that she keeps proposing that the solution to prices being so high is to dump MORE cash into the economy through various vote-buying schemes, which will once again feed inflation. Because they haven't figured out the cause and effect from the last round of vote buying.
Perhaps this last reporting period it was 2.9%, but that's on top of all the other CUMULATIVE inflation!!!

If Dana were an honest journalist (as if), the question to ask Kamala would be “WHY do you call yourself black now, when you used to describe yourself as Indian?
I’m not sure of when the identity switchover occurred but if it began when she was named Biden’s VP or recently when she became the Dem 2024 candidate, that certainly would reek of pure political pandering for the black vote.
We’re still waiting to find out why Kamala has changed each of her policy positions (I think someone reported there were 8). Add her identifying as black to that list. Although she just told Dana to move on without explaining herself, sticking to her strategy for all questions, the answer is blame or attack Trump.

She's not "wrong" about the below 3% inflation...but what she's talking about is the current "annual inflation rate", which is 2.9% today. That's not what we're talking about when we say "inflation". While the "annual rate" may be below 3% (barely)...but prices are still 20.9% more expensive since the pandemic-induced recession began in February 2020, with just 6% of the nearly 400 items the Bureau of Labor Statistics tracks cheaper today. So they're talking apples and oranges. She's just spewing what someone told her to answer the questions with because you KNOW this was scripted.
