I know right? I honestly hate how everything is 3D printed now. Like this is his most requested project and its 3D printed. Disappointing.
Most public libraries have 3D printers you can use.
I made one with craft foam, just wished I could make the eye open and close😕
Just what I though, I hate it when yo see a thumb nail showing something that you would like to make and the first thing you hear is ''I got a friend to 3D print this or me.'' Or ''I just printed this out.''
It takes 90% of the crafting skill out of making props.

As someone who has a 3D printer, I can tell you it can get spectacular detail... if you have the time and patience to set it up well

I came here to see how you made it only to find out you used the same 3d printed file as me and had the EXACT same issues with spacing and then the eye arm breaking off! Glad I’m not alone
Hi Oden, a good tip for joints and other areas like the opening eye that may rub off the paint. Use a toothpick or a needle to rub superglue over the painted areas you don’t want to rub off. Careful not to glue any joints or moving parts together.

Step 3: Glue it together

If you do actually planning on doing some more infinity stone themed builds one thing I could suggest is doing the thing that used to contain the Power Stone in the first Guardians of the Galaxy

I built this same model. I used a light up earring to make the eye glow. You are exactly right. It is a pain to get that eye mechanism to work correctly!
It’s funny how Odin can laugh and call a print problem interesting, but if that were me I’d be cussing and breaking it apart

You should make the Power Stone, inside the Sphere that Star-Lord found on the planet.
When sanding a thermoplastic like PLA, treat it like you would if you were working metal on a lathe... coolant. coolant. coolant. In the case of PLA, just a spray bottle with water will save your sanity.

you should make either loki’s scepter the aether, or the infinity orb, or ronan’s hammer with the power stone in it
If you want to do another infinity stone you could do The Aether from Thor Ragnarok after it's been contained and given to the collector.
Here's an idea you could purchase a Lion- o figurine or something similar you know retro classic either way and show us how to make a molding cast of a disassembled figurine your way, how Odin makes
I know it might be tempting to make Loki's spear for the mind stone, but what you really need to make is a statue of Vision.

Bit of a shame the New York Sanctuary sigil in the amulet isn`t able to rotate as it does in the movies, but that would be super complex to achieve on such a small scale. Awesome nonetheless. I wonder if Odin is gonna end up making the rest of the Infinity Stone vessels to complete the collection. Although the vessel for the Soul Stone may prove a bit challenging. Cant exactly build a whole planet.
0:21 been a while but he finally did it. Great job as always Odin. Wonder if you could figure a way to add a motor and button on the side to open and close the eye but that might be too much of a pain in the ass to add to this.
