I like the better graphics, controls, character designs, gameplay, everything but the one thing I hate is how all the arcs end the same. The Takeda always die at Nagashino, Ieyasu always wins at Sekigahara, Hideyoshi always beats Mitsuhide. I miss SW 1 and 2 where you could go alternate history and have people survive
I've never played 1 and 2, but considering the games are trying to be historically accurate, it's mostly expected that everything happens like it did for real in feudal Japan. However, in the Empires installment, you can pretty much create your very own story, so that's a plus. No one dies in Empires :D

SW4-2 is more of a B-side of a tape; a sort of a fun little alternate take. i'm actually more surprised that they released it as a standalone spinoff than as a XL expansion.
That duel cutscene between the sanada brothers felt so intense, but the fact that both were exactly the same aside from the victor of the duel was pretty upsetting. I mean even the voice lines were exact same.

I love how their are people legitimately upset that the same events happen in each installment. Like do you guys know that this is romanticized history? Most of the events actually went down,maybe not the cutscenes but in general. Koei has been pumping out games for 20-30 years now. Theres no reason why anyone who has played a previous installment (either Dynasty or Samurai) doesn't understand this is real history. Shit Samurai is really big on giving actually years and sometimes dates i believe.

The reason why many of Japanese games like this cannot come to US because gamers in US prefer to have more intense competitions multiplayer which is gear toward shooting games, NFl, NBA, FIFA games. Also the way how many game rating programs are just gear toward games that are popular among games

Unless they have the Kessen 3 backstory, I doubt Mitsuhide would do that, as in all of the SW games, not once have Mitsuhide and Noh had romantic feelings for each other.

I am trying to unlock the 4 last events of Legend of Tohoku, because i completed all missions with all characters, and i beat all challenges, but the Cleared! word is still silver, so i have to unlock the events... in the Vault there are 4 events with ??? whose i didn´t unlock yet and i don´t know how to unlock them, not even with a trophy guide. Can someone help me with this, please?
Your best bet is to go back and play all the characters you haven't played in the legend of Tohoku. If you are still missing events, then you may can find which ones are you missing online or just go to the vault event and play the scenes that are between the ??? so that you can get an idea where the missing event is.
I don't get it. Are age just a number to Koei? Mitsuhide was older than Nobunaga but Nobunaga act as if he is older than Mitsuhide and Mitsuhide has to bow down to him. Is that the way to teach someone who is older? Yeah, whatever. It happened in the 16th century.
Yes, it did happen back then. Age barely mattered in feudal Japan. For example Ginchiyo became the lady of the Tachibana castle at age SIX. All the Tachibana warriors and retainers were taking orders from a six year old girl. And in case you didn't know, Mitsuhide WAS indeed Nobunaga's subordinate in real history. Why would that be weird? Society in feudal Japan involved around land possession and military power, age had almost nothing to do with respect between people.
I've played through all the stages of each storyline, but I don't remember seeing the scene where Toyohisa dies (starts around 58:42 or so). Anyone care to tell?

It's okay. It's mostly the same thing, but the only difference is that the brothers have their moments/versions of their endings, when they talk to themselves.

If you ask me, the anime is horrible (and take this from a hardcore fan). Some of the characters that SHOULD be in some battles (Aya in Hasedo, Muneshige in all big battles, like Sekigahara and Osaka) aren't there, the animation's really faulty at some points, and the pace is really confusing for someone who hasn't played the games beforehand (I watched the anime before I played the games, and man, I couldn't wrap my head around most of what was going on).
