Beautifully played Richard!🌹 For me this tune now equals BIS and VC! Therefore this song now feels like a big hug! You Richard and Caroline really are amazing!❤🙏 From the bottom of my heart thank you!
How I too, love that beautiful piece by RVW. Never tire from hearing you play it. So ....on this St. Valentine’s Day (2021), one quote from William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night springs to mind. That being: ‘If Music be the Food of Love, Play On”. Play on, and on and on, Richard. Never cease to use and develop your very special gifts. Your total and absolutely love of beautiful music; your God-given talents; your incredible spiritual appreciation of those gifts and talents; your growing BiS Channels; your BiS community AND your dearest Caroline (plus ‘little one to be’) is so infectious and genuine, it has reached out and permeated the very hearts and souls of so many, creating what is surely one of the most loving and friendly world-wide communities existing in ether land. The Book of Corinthians states: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered. This is BiS. This is you. This is Caroline. This is your Community. On this day celebrating St. Valentine, when so many distractions distract, I humbly thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you give to all of us in BiS Land, so freely, and with such total and ‘genuine’ love . Xxx
Anyone else that would love to hear Richard play on the hauptwerk organ of bovenkerk kampen? To hear him play a piece from Jan Swart or K.J Mulder or feike asma would be a dream. And bach sounds fantastic on that organ as well. Greetings from finland
Such a beautiful piece. Always a pleasure to hear it - particularly here with such wonderful flues (and stgs). Perfect for a bit of introspection. Thank you for reposting Richard.
Red roses and chocolates might have their traditional role to play when celebrating Valentine's Day - but music is the true voice of love and you could not have chosen a more fitting expression of such love than that which can be heard in this beautiful Prelude by Vaughan Williams: thank you!
It has been a joy for many years. When living in Shrewsbury in the 1980s I discovered the village of Rhosymedre was not far over the border. O dear, it did not live up to the name Beautiful. Some things are better heard and not seen!
Mirror: An organist must coordinate with a choir, the clergy, and be able to see what's happening in the church during services, so the music fits the actions taking place, all in praise of God.
The organ probably faces the back of the church. The mirror is there so the organist can observe what’s going on in the front without turning completely around
@@beautyinsound Haha!!! It was beautiful to listen to either way. I just saw the irony and had to say something. :). You are so very gifted by God and your music is such a blessing.
One of my favorites. Thank you.
When I’m able to hear all the parts in tempo it’s heaven. This performance does.
That was just Lovely .... 😊 and just in time for father's day weekend ❤
Beautifully played Richard!🌹

Very well said dear Jane
This has always been a favorite of mine. The tune is “Lovely” in its most sublime sense!
Gorgeous piece and instrument!
I love this organ - it’s a joy to play!
I have SO got to travel to the UK someday to see and experience these wonderful churches.

I will treasure these words dear Trevor and seek to be like minded. 😇❤️🙏🙏
What a beautiful surprise!!!! Thank you 😊🥰
A beautiful colourful and, above all, light performance; thank you. Tempo just right; it can so easily become a dirge!
This is my current favourite organ piece. Listened to it from. Your end of show postludes over and over last night. Thank you Richard.
This is my most favorite ❤️❤️❤️
I listen every time after live and recorded times with Richard Caroline and Hugo ❤️👍👍
Sublime Melody❤🕊🙏
Very very very beautiful!! 🥰
Love this. Thanks for posting.
And also this piece popped up. Wonderful. You are so talented. Blessings.

Me!
Thank you
Another fabulous tune. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us!!!
Beautiful, Richard!! Lovely piece and lovely playing!!! Thank you for being so sensitive! Ed
Beautiful organ piece that I never get tired of hearing. Thank you Richard!

Nice to see and hear the "BiS Theme Song" in such a 'Lovely' (!) setting.
One of my favourites, played expertly. You must know it very well to play from the screen of a smartphone (or you must have good eyes).
Such a beautiful piece.
Im hoping to take up the Classical Organ in the next 18 months. If i could ever make a sound like this again, i would be overjoyed!!
Great Richard, thanks for this music.
My pleasure! You are most welcome :)
Lovely and one of my all-time favorites. Good choice for the lenten season.

Oh so sublime! I played this as the prelude this morning... but only half as good! Nicely done!!
Glad you like it!
So beautiful and reverent
Thank you for sharing an excellent performance. You make it look effortless, which it isn’t!
so sublime! in the monastery the organist would play the theme with a slight lilt - something that I think would have made RVW chuckle a bit ;-}
Warms the soul... thanks for sharing!
One of RVW's most intimate works. I love how the inner voices dance around the melody.
Great job!
I was hoping to meet Sir.Richard ...
I want to witness lively while he plays the organ and to hear from those magnificent pipes...
Sir.Richard I like that!😁👍
@@JaneDoe-ci3gj thank you!! Appreciate it 👍
Magnificent!

It may have lived up to its name more in the 1880s than in the 1980s? ;-)
Beautiful music indeed for Valentines Day. And you played it from your phone without your new glasses? Impressive!
Roses are red, fingers are blue, the Cathedral is freezing and my toes are too! (Nothing wrong with the old eyesight though Richard!)
One thing I'm curious - how the phone app knew when to "turn the page"!?
In USA tune has different text in most hymnals as a Lenten hymn alternate setting for My Song is Love Unknown
Richard how can you read the music text from such a small screen. The screen I'm using to compose this message to you is 42 inch Screen. :)
Luckily I know the piece pretty well haha! It was a bit risky, but luckily I think we got away with it :)
@beautyinsound You certainly did...well done!
You played from music on your iPhone.
We didn’t have the score with us, only realised in the car on the way over that it was appropriate today! 😂
😇😇😇😇😇😇😇🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌😌😌😌😌😌
Why there's a mirror placed on the left side of the organ??
Mirror: An organist must coordinate with a choir, the clergy, and be able to see what's happening in the church during services, so the music fits the actions taking place, all in praise of God.
@@BinkyTheElf1 thank you so much for your kind information

@@esta1ful thanks for the kind answer
What did you use to progress the sheet music?
ForScore 😊
A beautiful ancient musical instrument and the guy playing it is looking at an iPhone. hahaha
Yes - unfortunately I realised that I’d forgotten my sheet music but I managed to find a copy online. Phew!

Very, very good performance. But still nothing like as good as that of Donald Hunt (of blessed memory). Sorry. I know comparisons are odious.
