I'll be sculpting & painting on clay squishmallow version of Connor the cow. I've been doing alot of squishmallow hunting lately and finding tons of good squishmallows to customize & paint on from Five Below. I wanted to switch things up today and sculpt an anatomically correct version of Connor the cow squishmallow. I like customizing things and turning them EVIL, it's kind of my thing. In fact I have quite a few series where I do some cheap diys that end up looking pretty chaotic. Other makeover series that I do include Five Below makeovers, squishmallows, fidget toys, needle felting, etc.

This was absolutely hilarious to watch! You really set yourself up for broken pieces with all these artistic liberties😂. Your fiancé was the hero for the sculpture base so she needs some credits. Seriously, I absolutely love this piece. The bone sticking out was a very nice “Graveyard Loon” touch!

I think you did an awesome job on Connor. His Derpy face is everything . It looks to me like the legs are a bit too narrow at the top this not being your bad, I think it's a problem in the mold. I'm curious to see if anyone else has had any problems with the legs fragile limbs. By the way have we confirmed that Connor is indeed a female or possibly non-binary.😉

I love Jackie but, unfortunately, it seems like this kit isn't selling as well as the first and I think it's because of the mold. The character seems to "skinny" & fragile (the legs). Also, I think people aren't as attracted to making four legged type characters like dragons etc. The other mold was more appealing imo.
Has she said that? Where did you get the information that sales haven’t been as good?
I skipped it because it's less work for me to wad up some foil and make my own base than to go through all that to cast it. I can also make mer tails or add extra limbs or whatever. I know it's aimed at beginners but making the base is pretty easy/standard for even the starter sculptor. Plus I bought the last one. I can only use so much paint, brushes and repeats. She mixed it up and included an airbrush but I've already got one which is worth more than the kit. I wish her all the best but that's too expensive for me when I haven't used up what's in the first one, yet.
@@thoughtfulwatcher the legs look really stick skinny in areas I can tell it's the mold..especially for beginners it's really not the greatest mold. I think the first kit was better

I knew I was gonna mess something up, I’m not even surprised 😅. One too many artistic liberties were taken, I like to make things complicated for myself 😂

@@GraveyardLoon The cracks are what add extra character. The limbs on this sculpture are kinda fragile, so I'm not surprised if someone is a little too aggressive or holds the figure in the wrong place and breaks something.

The term "cow" is generally colloquially accepted to describe both males and females of the species. However, "cow" is also used to describe a female bovine who has had calves, conversely a heifer is a female bovine who has not had calves. A male bovine is called a "bull" as most everyone knows. A steer or a bullock is a young male bovine which has been neutered.

Lol I was thinking the same thing! There's always something that shows up out of the blue. I don't know if I made it clear but the perfect mold was sent by Jackie herself, it wasn't completely random 😂
Cows only have incisors on their lower jaw. But since this is an artistic rendering we can say it’s from an alternative universe. Good job, btw! I loved it!

There is actually a condition where dairy cows with udders can be born male. It's pretty rare though. So yeah, Connor the cow is just pulling an Otis from Back in the Barnyard lol
That movie drove me nuts how they basically just treated bulls as a different species to cows and just generally I don't even know. I don't think I finished the video even...

Thank you! & aw, I'm sorry you can't get your hands on one. It's not soft at all, you do have to be a little gentle with the plaster, as you may know I've never been good at unmolding stuff & I'm just not very gentle 🙃

Er meh gawd! I SO love this piece, Graveyard Loon! So much wonderful and very nice recovery with the lost limbs - the bone was a particularly nice GL touch and I really loved the hoof upon the milk carton. Many thanks to your fiance for her work as well.

I ordered the kit when it was announced. I’m really nervous about the legs breaking off but Jackie will have a tutorial on how to unmold. I need to watch it several times before I attempt it.

My husband said you must call him "Conner McCow, of the Clan McCow".
(OH, and cow is a generic term for any bovine regardless of gender, just like dog and cat refer to a type of animal regardless of gender. Though there are gender, age, and 'breed-ability' specific terms as well. You didn't need to give poor Connor udders, though that's probably more family friendly than if you'd tried something else.)

Cow is understood as both male and female cattle in the modern age, much like "dog" is understood as all dogs even though females of the species are refered to as the B swear word youtube doesn't like. Much like the B swear, cow has changed usage and meaning as humans keep using it.
There's so many diffrent terms for animals you just do not need to know or use if you're not in farming, for example, a female cow who hasn't given birth, is a heifer, but we never need to make that distinction for any real reason, when someone sees a feild of cattle and goes "look at all those cows!" I ain't about to ruin the moment but basically getting mad they didn't notice the bulls genitals, I'm just gonna let them enjoy the veiw of all the cows. 👍

I think it would be cool if you dry brushed the chairs with white paint. Make the drips look like cobwebs, and make it look more haunted houseish
