I heard this song in a funeral service. Didn’t know the lyrics, didn’t know the name. I spent months searching for it and even mailed the organizing team of the funeral. I love this. The arrangement and the images really capture the timeless feel of the words - it makes me feel closer to the Saints in Heaven with the Lord, and the Church as CS Lewis describes it : "... the Church as we see her spread out through all time and space and rooted in eternity, terrible as an army with banners." Even though it's Screwtape's assesment I love it!! And this song captures some of the feeling of that quote for me. Pure genius.
