Clay recycling process - Ceramic Studio

Here a video about clay recycling :)
Nothing very complicated, we rehydrate the earth which is dry in a bucket, and we let the water work.
Remove the excess water, stir and mix well.
Then place the earth on the plasterboard which will absorb the water, using rags or old sheets. The drying time will vary according to your room and the seasons. I left one day for this video. The important thing is that the texture of the clay is soft/hard, does not stick to the finger. Otherwise you will have trouble kneading it. It is important to knead your clay well because if there are air bubbles you will have trouble when you throw it or the piece may explode during the firing.
To preserve your clay well, you must put it in plastic, which will keep the water in the clay. And here it is, ready to be used!

​@@robertine.atelier Alors oui les torchons deviennent raides, je les lave ensuite. Je préfère éliminer le maximum dans une bassine pour mettre le surplus dans le jardin, et après direction la machine à laver :)
