I love my mini Jack, WBP makes a great AK. I hope they can continue to import more rifles and get the price down. I got my mini Jack for 650 and now they’re about 200 more.
Currently, the WBP Jack 7,62x39 Polymer tactical with picatinny rail on the upper handguard and polymer magazine costs 4000 PLN in Poland, which is around 950 USD. Looking for one to buy.
Notes about my beryl 7.62. 100% bone stock no modifications It's very soft shooting compared to most other stamped 16in guns. The only stamped receiver 16inch gun that shoots softer is my 107fr and that's probably because of the 74 style muzzle brake. The original polish FCG was gritty out of the box but smoothed out very nicely and is now probably one of my favorite AK fire control groups. I'd literally pay money for another one to put into one of my other AKs. The rivets are basically as perfect as AK rivets can get. Even the inside heads of the short trunnion rivets are perfectly formed. The paint finish is pretty poor in my opinion. Right out of the blue bag that they come in, there was moisture pooled up on the receiver and I was able to wipe off two spots of the paint finish leaving a black smudge on my thumb. The finish itself was applied inconsistently and is quite thin in some places. One spot in front of the magwell even has some sort of crud stuck under the finish leaving it feeling gritty to the touch. The laser engraving is shallow and feels cheap compared to proper roll marks. It's a poor finish especially when compared to other painted AKs like my sa-85 or even my saiga and 107fr. I've honestly had a postban maadi with nicer finish. Some general fit and finish issues inside the receiver where the trunnion and rails aren't lined up perfectly leading to some ugly deformation as the parts break themselves in. And there is a small amount of metal deformation inside the bolt lug groove of the carrier where the bolts locking lug seems to be harder then the carrier and causing the carrier to mushroom slightly. None of these issues affect the function or durability of the rifle just some general fit and finish issues I've ran into when inspecting the rifle. All in all it's a well built rifle that's extremely nice to shoot but with a general fit and finish that falls below what I expected for it's price point. I feel that unless you really care about it's low production numbers and it's perceived exclusivity, you're probably better off with one of the WBP guns.

The Polish and Ukrainian government both talk a big game, but I think there are reasons as to why the shelling of Donetsk and Lugansk stopped immediately following the arrival of Russian peacekeepers. I don't think it'll be too long before the dust settles (and I'm also of the opinion that the Poles weren't that actually committed anyway). Plus the Ukrainians have their own (somewhat bizarre) arms industry in full swing now, they aren't so much in need of outside help as far as conventional small arms go, to their credit, in just a few years. I wonder how much of the time "delayed due to military contracts" is just these companies sending the message of "this is a side hustle we don't care about that much" or possibly at times delays specifically meant only to increase demand and increase prices.

The Jack has it because realistically any AK import to the USA has to have some kind of an optics mount. Its just one of those market demand things. The Beryl lacks it because on the military version there isn't room for it. Where the side rail would go, it has the 3 position selector switch. This is one of the major reasons they developed the POPC rail system.
Only thing is, most other imports are even more money, and even those that are less like the wASR10 and Zastava M70 aren't so by a whole lot these days. Welcome to inflation and a failing economy.

I'm intrested in the 5.56 WBP Jack rifle. I'm having problems finding the twist rate on this rifle. Would you know the twist rate on the 5.56 Jack rifle? Thank you
Here soon, we'll publish a review of that one + compare it with something. Probably either the Beryl or Arsenal's SAM5? or maybe Zastava's M90? Wish there was time to shoot all back-to-back but...
WBP in its "5.56 Jack and Mini Jack rifle user manual" says twist rate is 228mm which equals to 9 inch (to be precise: 228/25.4=8.976377952755906 inch)
the malfunction in the beryl really is odd. seems like it would be a mag or ammo problem but with 2 different mags i don't know. did you use the same mags loaded to the same round count and ammo type in the fox?? interesting if others came across that with there rifles. thanks.
That’s a problem with your magazine spring being soft inside those mags.
Love my zastavas! How to these compare? Looking into a 223 variant.ty
Are they reliable? If anyone knows?
Is this a stamped or milled reciever?
It’s a stamped receiver
Ironically I've had failure to feed issues like that with my WBP Fox, but never with my m762 Beryl. Maybe just bad luck of the polish.
Totally a 'feeling' on my part, but it just didn't seem like a firearm issue. At least not directly. I'm actually most suspicious of the RAS ammo.
What flash hider is this on the Jack?
why is there a small gap between the buttstock and reciever?..kind of drives me crazy
That is purposely done so wood doesn't swell and crack due too moisture.
@@SlickSlack4pac dry the wood first..I'd never buy onelike that..there has been rifles many years old with no problems at all..
@@TedIntessimone the 1mm gap at trunnion and buttstock was spec for laminate wood. Maybe you should contact the Izhevsk Factory in Russia and give them the proper advice on how to build the AKM.
Akm right, so I could put a romy dong (if I can’t find a polish) and cheese grater on correct?
You should do a Polish Archer vs 223S M1 video
I got the Jack Jack Jack Jack Jack Jack Jack I got the Jack
Love my wpb AK pistol!
Just don’t like the flash hider, needs a sugar scoop!
That was what it shipped with. Had the AKML Polish parts around, so felt like using them. Didn't take the bipod with us this time though.
WBP Jack or new zpap?
WBP is a lot nicer than Zastava
Have both you can’t go wrong with either
Does it appear over gassed to anyone else? Like even over gassed for an ak?
Not to me, and i was the one firing it.
Bravo
How long does an Ak and Ar15 usually last?
Longer than you or I will shoot them :)
One thing that bugs me is that the "Classic" Jack has a side rail, while the "Modern" Beryl lacks a side rail.
Should've loaded up a different mag asap.
I did, had a total of 6 mags out that day: steel, WBP poly, & Magpul PMag
Pluto. 2/22/22
Ya' know it!
Bought a wbp polish mag feels like a cheap pos mag.
How something functions should matter more than how it feels.
🙌💪🤙🇺🇸
These are nice but for $1300 dollars? Am I the only one that thinks that price is crazy?
Only thing is, most other imports are even more money, and even those that are less like the wASR10 and Zastava M70 aren't so by a whole lot these days. Welcome to inflation and a failing economy.
I paid 1300 for a milled arsenal sam7 ak back in 2017. Now the same gun is close to 2k
Sign of the times, get it while you can. It’s not going to get any better soon.
@@arujei1 same here, paid $1245 for my SAM7 in 2016. Great investment!
Is it legal for a blind dude like this to shoot a rifle...?? Even if it's legal it certainly isn't safe.

No, its not better.
Cool, why?
@@misha5670 more pedigree. Better gassed. Less available... Ill just stick with the real military rifle. Beryl for me. Fox for thee. 🍻
@@omardevonlittle3817 One area you are wrong is on the gassing. The Jack and Beryl use the same system. For what its worth, I own 3 Beryls compared with 2 WBPs.
@@misha5670 interesting. Everyone i know with a jack has suggested a kns... i have both Beryls. Maybe the extra 2 inches of the 5.56 barrel makes it feel less punchy
Kinda hilarious that people will pay this much money for a commercial copy of a outdated platform,go figure great videos tho!
Hey, people have been buying the Springfield M1A for over 40 years *shrug*.
How is this platform outdated? What are militarys around the world still using?
Another unlicensed illegal copy.
Lmao what are you talking about
Remind me again what the Tu-4 was?
@Misha I will remind you that Russia is not Soviet Union anymore and manufacurers must acquire license on the patent. Hope someday Russia will enforce their law and kidnap law violators to trial in Russia according to their law, just as USA does. 👌
@Razgriz Surget did polish manufacturer paid their license fees to Russia? Nop. So it's an unlicensed illegal copy.
Illegal you say.... hmmm I want one more now.
