These little ones look like fun to me! And it seems they can be built and managed by normal people (Mom and Dad Teams), I like that. They aren´t rolling coal too much (don´t like that) and most of them seem to run the good, old Briggs&Stratton engines. It seems there´s a corner in this sport still where Joe/Jane Doe can put up with and have fun together with them farmer`s workhorses, that´s nice. Even some V2´s wich sound quite awsome- lot´s of power in them corny things- just my cup of tea. Sadly in Europe that´s not so much a thing, it´s them special speed parts I think and us being metric, all the US models being imperial isn´t too helpful, either. I imagine in this sport most of the speed parts being homegrown, as a mechanic that intrigues me. Sidenote: being chubby isn´t too bad in this, as we can see they bring more weight to the table- always important to get the power to the ground. And: a lot of them use high revs and wheel slip- seems a good strategy. What me like too: not just only tractor pulls, You cared to show us the scene, too. All them tractors... I guess I found my people. Having fun with old stuff is always nice and as long as they don´t roll coal or blow up the environment is fine, too.
You may have also noticed how popular those Cub Cadet garden tractors are for these pulls. So if you ever cross 'the Pond' to see these events in person, county fair season runs from early-July through August around the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area.
A lot of craftsmenship to see here! Together with that awsome Mack brake truck- a nice display.
That Hookstown event is well organized, nice to have two tracks to keep the action going!
