I understand you don't like the cooldown on normal bite, but you should be trying to play around it by not just facetanking like you tried to do in every single fight you didnt try to use his speed or turn radius at all. Also I think the main reason for the pierce bite is to counter Ano's and needs tested that way.
It's just unfair that dasp is the only mid carni with such long cd on basic bite. I agree you shouldn't just facetank, but with fast dinos where it's hard to hit missing is way more punishing than for other mid carnis. I wouldn't mind less dmg bite with no cd
The Rex can bite faster. It’s ridiculous.
@@Freebase_lace the rex is also slow with low stamina. If it couldn't bite fast it would have nothing.
@@kirbyball97 Dasp is still slow and has pretty bad stamina. Yeah, it’s faster than Rex, but dasp isn’t getting away from or catching up to much. Dasp also has way less health and combat weight than Rex. No other carnivore has a cooldown that long on their regular bite. There’s no way it makes sense. You must play herbi.

ive tested piercing bit and its very good for larger targets. that being said i noticed a lot of your bites were on the rear which counts as attacking the tail so the damage you did was reduced. you also didnt utilize tail or that stamina to hit and run. the dasp is worth growing, just use his regular bite and one heavy bite
Dasp is a hit and run type of PvP fighter. If you get good at timing your cool downs you can make short work of alot of dinos same size or smaller. Stay away from heavy fighters like the eo, rexy and spino unless in a group.

Piercing bite is best for hit and run on apexs and heavily armoured creatures as it does 150 raw damage (the description is misleading). As for dasps playstyle and how your playing it you shouldn’t be trying to tank hits, dasp is weaker then allo defence wise but has really nice speed. Basically dasp is a glass cannon capable of outputting insane damage but not capable of tanking damage. Also I wish you would play around with the dinosaurs before hand to fully understand their playstyle as your main playstyle I’ve noticed is just run in and face tank which isn’t the best when your reviewing dinos but playing them in a playstyle not suited for them
I've said it so many times before but I MISS the dasps attack set up BEFORE the combat update. I miss the quicker but weaker bone break, I miss being able to stalk and literally pounce my prey not letting them run away and having a successful meal.
I know the stats are better these days but when the abilities are so bad it makes everything else irrelevant. What good is better stats when they make it so hard to defend yourself efficiently.
Hell, give the dasp the same Face tank ability as the Rex has, maybe that'll help counter the bites cooldown issue.
They should fix normal bite cooldown...It's giving so much pain when we wanna play with dasp

Ngl the bite cd should stay its to encourage hit and run with no tail riding its not a rex its a devious weapon when used right and i use delayed bite with bb the way i would describe dasp is valid but players cant learn him cus they treat him as rex
For me, I use his higher turn radius to fight. So I use my bites and as the normal bite is on cooldown a do a circle and hit with my tail, by the time i'm facing them again the bite is refreshed. I have a def dasp so I can take a hit or two if I mess up the turn and get in their range but the dmg of the bites with a tail attack rotation works well for me on most dinos.
I still do find the Das as playable for hit and run style attacks, where you kind of circle a target looking for an opening to strike. Yeah, the cooldown is a bit of an issue, especially when you're trying to bite something a lot faster, more agile, smaller compared to you. And as annoying as the cooldown on the Das's bites are, it all still pales in comparison to the treatment/neglect of the Allosaurus and its problems. Allo's Hatchet bite isn't much of an improvement, considering all of its stamina issues (slow regen, claws), and if it gets envenomated while it has both claws and hatchet jaws equipped, then it's pretty much already defenseless and dead.
Sorry for the Allosaurus tangent, but as downgraded as Das has been with the cooldowns, I feel that Das still among the more playable mid-tier carnivores, especially compared to Allo.
Dasp is great but U are not fighting properly with him at all.He has a good kit so depending on the target u want to hunt you can switch build and the way u fight,for those allos try bone breack bite with heavy bite,U dont face tank them,U are faster then them and u have good stam so try to land the bb first then trade only with the heavy bites
I have the most fun with Dasp. He hits hard enough to stand out and doesn't have many issues. Most Dinos are going to struggle in any 1v2+. Dasp with good spacing and timed bites can usually at least get one kill in a 1v2 depending on the Dinos.
I tested piercing bite with my friends it’s very effective against apexes, you can take 10-15% health form a spino with a chest bite with no damage buffs
I think he needs more work done , He was fun to play as but they need to remove the cool down , thank you for making a video on this dinosaur
I was on my rex today and a dasp hit me with that piercing and i stg it did 25% of my health.
I was so stunned i had to clip it and watch it to make sure. (Rex is full adult and full hp. Also dasp didnt have tyrants to my knowledge. Maybe the carnage buff tho.) I was shocked. It might be bugged but this bite deserves another look

150 dmg to a Laten and 150 dmg to a Eo, Bars, Rex Spino
Ignores armor but doesn't ignores abliities that reduce dmg taken
Piercing Bite is Better against things your CW or Higher
Unless a Pycno since Piercing would still do more dmg then heavy Bite
A Group of 3 Dasp Dasp with Tyrants Roars and Piercing Bite can Destroy Apexes
Which abilities reduce his dmg?Like for exemple Hiss reducing 20% dmg should reduce the piercing bite dmg but abilities that boost Ur defense like lone survivor dont change that dmg right?

I’d say use the regular bite and the bone break. Break their bones and then tail ride them.

I have to disagree with you. Dasp is meant for hitting and running. Dasp really shines in a group with another dasp. Me and my buddy killed an adult rex with 3 piercing bites and a few normal bites. Not only have we destroyed apexs we destroy any dino close to our combat weight because dasp hits so hard.
Dasp can counter Hunker Ano with the piercing bite, just have to time the bite and avoid the tail which can be tricky.
it actually only counters armor not the hunker down reduction so its pretty bad.
Make a ranking of running speed again plz we need it. And also with the dinos u can still do double triple or if its there quadruple speed. Or by only subspicies

The people who have won 2v1 fights with their dasp most likely took on bad players or smaller dinos they could tank out. Realistically these guys just can't sit through a lot of hits

me and my friends run 4 Dasps, and they take down several apexes and mostly sub- mid tiers like allos and everything with the 2 heavy bite users and 2 bone snaps
U don't need to fight face to face with your dasp, just land the attack and run till your cooldown stops and then land another bite so the other dino won't touch you alot

Normal bite and piercing bite is the way to go. With balanced subsp. its so good and not op because his cw and just 600 hp. Pefect balanced dino

Heavy bite and regular bite is all you need also the dasp has these longer bite cds to make dasp players not wanna face tank very skill based dino in terms of a 1v1 situation with dinos in similar size also these fast pace pvp modes make the dead disappear which is bad cause the dasp get 20% more dmg around player corpses which is actually insane btw.
that's BS. it's an oversight. in the Path of Titans Beta they're fixing the cooldown. God you people love just making things up.

I’ve tested the bite a few times and I noticed it does more damage against higher Combat weight Dino’s I tested it in my friends eotrike and she said it did like 25% of her health from 1 piercing bite

There fine just really tough solo but a group of dasps are still one of the most feared things aroubd due too the sheer amount of damage they can do.
