I would give anything to see them play together!!!!! I am sad I never got to see them when they were together! Daniel Johns is so beautiful! Ben and Chris are bad ass too! They don't get enough props!
i seen them years ago at gone south in tasmania. daniel was at his low point then all skin and bones. and he seemed very angry spitting on the crowd and stuff wasnt how i wanted to see them. would of killed to see this concert though diorama saved my life
I agree. Though back in 2001 and 2002 they were everywhere and at the time I got a bit sick of them. God I wish I could go back and really appreciate that era!!
@@meramaru6409 Agreed I was front row at MTVs Rockfest in Atlanta Georgia when they played (actually I'm on the TH-cam video of it quite a bit lmao ) that was during the neon ballroom days and he was rail thin very angry cussing into his ear mic in between vocal parts he'd click the mic off and cuss loudly at whomever was handling shit backstage and when they were done playing he basically threw his gear down and walked off stage without even a word to the crowd and it was a massive turnout upwards of 300 thousand ppl there.
a força do grunge música de qualidade não prazo de validade... o amadurecimento da banda é nítido... parabéns Daniel e sua guitarra com solos distorcidos... Grunge is not dead! valeu Silverchair! viva o Rock!
Their new music is not shit. It's maturing. It's not the teenage angst music they started off with. Everything they make is pure brilliance. I love this era of Silverchair its progression from Freak Show to where they're at now.
He sings very good live. But I wish they also had a video for this song. If they do, maybe it's just not in the States. After all, on MTV, they banned the original video version to "Tomorrow" in the States. They really should be more popular here. I'm soooo in love with Silverchair and Daniel Johns ;)
Othon Silva Faz falta demais o rock nas rádios, o estilo doa jovens formados no rock, era outro nível. Hoje em dia uma geração de jovens fúteis e rasos. Nem um instrumento têm mais vontade de aprender a tocar.
@Jospehporta :sigh: There are plenty of American bands that don't lipsink (Matchbox 20 for example). What sets Silverchair apart isn't merely the fact that they play well live, or that their singer has a good voice. It's one thing: Daniel Johns has absolute MASTERY over his voice. He has range, power, finesse, he can push it, etc. He absolutely maximizes the sounds he can make, and more importantly, he knows when to employ each aspect of his voice. He is a master, plain and simple.
Agreed but the stuff he's made without silverchair just sucks and I'm not one of those ppl who think just because he played a certain style of music he should have to stay there and never branch out or flip genre's because I can appreciate a good crossover artist however his vocals are half assed at best and a waste of such amazing talent all breathy falsetto just doest hit the mark at all for me.
I had to buy it from Australia which had a different region. However, you can still play it by changing the settings on your dvd player to play region 4 or you can buy a cheap dvd player for like $40 which does everything.
yeah and they ACTUALLY write their own music. these boys are tremendously talented, unlike what everyone else in america listens to. get me out of here!
@mablob What, do they have an open-house or something? haha. Because that would be awesome! I'd love to visit there. Especially to meet them. And I think you mean gtfo out of Alabama (in the U.S)? You said Australia lol ;)
is this the live from faraway stables dvd? i want to get it but the regions are fucked up or some shit, i dont know. does anyone know the best way to get the dvd in the u.s.?
Haha yeah someone really was air drumming! Lmao! It's a shame that this is my sad song, because it always sounds so good live in every video i've seen of them.
@mablob As much as I am in love with Daniel Johns, I wish I was the stalking type! lol. I might hang around the area of his house for awhile...just to press my good luck hahaha. And do you have a facebook? I'm always interested in making new friends from other places.
Trying to sing along to this song is actually harder than any song I've tried to sing in their discography. You constantly have to keep the register high, and with the notes so long, your throat gets strained after around the second verse.
Been a musician/vocalist all my life and I absolutely agree even for me as a female it's tough (although I am 1rst alto 2nd soprano so this song naturally would be a bit more difficult for me anyway) I pull it off so nobody would realize I was battling but it's not easy in the slightest.
Is this like an Australian thing to sit at concerts (even if you have a seat)? serious question. Every concert I've been to, people have not wanted to sit.
A lot of the time yes. I was at a concert a few years ago and some ladies 2 rows I front of us got and and started dancing infront ov their seat, they gu y behind them twice told them to sit down. I fired up and said to him, people are here to enjoy the concert and get into it, if you just want to sit there and watch, go and buy their dvd.
Just because they have “ Chair “ in their name, doesn’t mean you Wankers gotta sit for this. Wtf are you front row peeps doin? It’s a Silverchair show FFS
I've never sounded better.
Yes u have back in 95 burn lol jk
Time machine :0

@@alexmalch that would be fantastic, thanks for telling me!
Daniel Johns voice was divine, and the whole song is the work of a pure genious. He is one in a decade.
Love this song.
It's the most brutal distortion version of this song on TH-cam I could find.
Really wish these guys can find each other again...
the era when gigs focus and enjoyed the real music..
The best part of this song is from 0:05 to 4:26.

Everything sounds so crisp in this song. Voice is perfect here, and the tone of everything else is awesome
Muito pesada! Principalmente esse solo de riffs no final. Fuderoso mesmo. \m/
After this Covid crap, it's time for a Silverchair reunion
Unfortunately it'll never happen
