      Kuyili one of the commanders of the queen blasted herself to destroy the British ammunitions . That's why the British couldn't defeat the queen. She ruled her kingdom for ten years till her death.

      Her husband was murdered by the British when he was praying in the temple. Queen Velunachiyar escaped and sought help from Hyder Ali. With the help of Hyder Ali's troops she recaptured her kingdom and avenged her husband's murder by killing the British commander responsible for her husband's murder.
      She knew five languages including Urdu and English.

    Thanks for sharing the rarest collection Rajmata Karnavati was a great pride of our Garhwal Kingdom. We lost only to Gorkhas in 1804 till then we had a glorious era of Garhwal Kingdom.

      Garhwal Kingdom, Khas kingdom, Gorkha Kingdom are all the same. We should have created an ancient Himavat Khand the land of Shiva on top of Bharat Varsh. What makes us one is our Nath culture, followers of Shiva, the supreme lord. India is on the path to revive itself and hopefully Nepal will do the same. Long live Sanatan Dharma.

    • @vyoshen4563
      @vyoshen4563 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You didn't lose to Gorkhas- its a myth. Gorkhas werent so famous then- infact they were nothing infront of other kings. They are made famous by British. Gorkhas arr shudra sepoys, they are not even Kshatriya varna.

    • @sevenchakra5548
      @sevenchakra5548 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@vyoshen4563 Looks like you know nothing about Gurkhas. Gurkhas are people from hilly regions of Nepal. They are mainly Khas, Magars and Gurungs. They have nothing to do with Kshatrya or Sudra. That's your indian mindset rooted in discriminatory caste system. These nepaleses from hilly regions are brave, strong and due to Sanatan-Dharma believe in reincarnation thus making them fearless of death. You cannot beat them in hilly and mountainous areas. It is their playground. I suggest you to go to Kathmandu and climb some steps to reach a temple on top of a hill, you will see that even a 5 years old will pass you in a heart beat. There is a reason why Gurkha Battalions are stationed on hilly Kargil and not some sub-continent Indians.

      @@sevenchakra5548 most of midieval indian king history has been not allowed to center stage first by British and then by far left politicians. But its coming out now. Research on Lalitaditya of Kashmir. As i said a real Kshatriya varna is like twice born and never ever works for another country army. Gorkhas are those sepoys anyone can hire. They are like security gaurds. Dont talk about Kshatriya varna- very little remaining now. Krishna made sure none would remain. Because real Kshatriya varna can defeat in very little time. This Ghora Kali Yuga, is meant for adharma, and dharma has single leg.

I hope one day you get to visit India and see where your great great grandfather came from. Many don't know but Punjab is the birthplace of Hinduism and The Vedas was written here as well as much of our early history. I'm sure you'll be able to not only learn about your Sikh side, but undoubtedly your Hindu side as a majority of the converts to Sikhi were in fact Punjabi Hindus. Take care.

    Loved this video. India had such a rich past. If only we were not invaded from outside. I specially loved the pictures of old Travancore, my native place. I have started wondering where my ancestors... my great great great grand parents lived in these glorious times. Surely all of them married and gave birth to me after a hundred generations. Is there any way to find out who they were? What if Babur or Robert Clive were related to me. I can claim British or Afghan citizenship!. Thank you G. Laksha. I am looking forward to watching more of your videos.

    One of the best compilation of history as it unfolds, it is what it is, to be bitter or happy about it is futile, those feelings would be justified only if humanity is able to learn from history which it never does, things go on unfolding as evolutionary process and to think we are doing because of what we perceive as to our reaction to the past is absurd, positive or negative, its just about the present.
