- Welcome to the first of my shopping adventures where I will be exploring fabric shops in an around Yorkshire.
Grab yourself a cuppa, this video is quite long - there's a lot to show you!
Dewsbury is easily accessible by road or by public transport. The train station is only a very short walk to where the fabric shops are and also the market. The bus station is slightly further away, approximately a 10 minute walk.
Market days in Dewsbury are Wednesday and Saturday.

Splendid shopping trip, showing off all the great fabric shops in Dewsbury (where I was born and grew up - first starting to sew from fabric bought on Dewsbury Market). It’s going to be a hard act to follow to find anywhere with as much choice and at such great prices. I am looking forward to seeing where you go next.

Great vlog! I love Fabworks! I try to get to Yorkshire on a fabric safari, at least twice a year and always go to Fabworks. I discovered Luckys Fashion on Instagram during lockdown, so will definitely be going there when next up north, along with the other two shops you mentioned. 👍😁

I loved Jenny’s mask. And she calls it wool too ❤️. It’s great that she supports local crafters.
I adore Val’s Rose and Hubble collection. I have Cotton envy. £1 a yard is a great idea. It’s good to know the prices before you touch it so that you don’t fall in love and then have to hand it back!
And a market too. You definitely get a lot of bang for your buck! I adore Tara’s dungarees 😃. Her fabric of the month is gorgeous. That’s on my shopping list. Her patterns were very Esmeesque! Thank you for all the info Ali. Plan is made... see you in the next one xx

Iv bought off Manjit via Instagram during lockdown and said I’d pay her a visit when we were allowed . Thanks for this tour I’ll give all the others a visit too , it makes to 2 hour trip worth while . It looks great 🙂
