- Now that I know how to properly take care of this Thanksgiving Cactus (Schlumbergera truncata), I decided to get more. I will also show here how easily I easily propagate this cactus. Finally, get to meet the newest addition to the Cactus Caffeine family!

Mocha is so cute!
😊🐶❤️
Mocha is adorable
🐶 💋
Cute new friend! Your cacti look great too. I just got a really nice gold thanksgiving cactus from a friend this year. Hopefully I will keep it healthy. Ive always had bad luck until this last summer when I started keeping them on my front porch. (Covered and East facing) all summer. They loved it so when I brought them in for winter I put them in a window on that side and so far so good!
Oh you are lucky to get a gold one. That is not common. Plant shops always have just the pink and white flowering ones.
@@CactusCaffeine yes! I’d never seed that color before it’s super pretty
Lovely healthy plants, Ana 😊 I know its pretty challenging keeping those types of plants happy in your environment. Mocha is adorable 🤗 Thank you for sharing with us as always. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌺🌸🌼🏜☕
Yes. But in that old pot is the cuttings that you gave me. They are still alive! 😊
@@CactusCaffeine awesome to know, Ana 😁🌵☀️🌼🌸🏜
Thanks Anna, Great video as always and mocha is so cute!
Your Thanksgiving cacti look AMAZING re potted and beautiful blooms on your Thanksgiving cactus, I find the Easter cactus is much harder to grow too, awwwww your new pup Mocha is absolutely ADORABLE haha, thanks so much for sharing the wonderful repotting with us Ana, and Hans and I are sending you and Mocha and Shadow lots of love and happiness and CAFFEINE and PLANT POWER to Las Vegas for a fantastic Sunday XXXX
Thanks so much, Lyn. Yes, that Easter cactus is very challenging. But I may just try again when they become available for sale again this spring.
Nice plants!!! I planted mine in a group pot also. They look great that way!! Mine are a little rough looking. They didn't like the heat we had. Even though I had them under the shade of our redbud trees. Your group will make a wonderful show next year!!! Your large ant is a real beauty!!! Thanks for sharing Ana!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, out to Las Vegas, have a wonderful week ahead!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌷🌴🌸🌿🌻🍀🌾💐🌱🌳🌹🪴😃👍
Mine also suffered last summer. Some branches actually died. I have a peach one but this year, I did not get any peach flower. It was fuller last spring. But luckily it recovered well.
You have just the same experience as me with the Schlumbergera truncata cactus. I cannot keep the Easter one alive here in the desert. I do well with the Thanksgiving cactus. I have actually also bought rooted cuttings of the Christmas cactus online.
I know! I can’t quite figure out what that Easter cactus likes. But I’ll give it another shot when they become available this spring. 😊
@@CactusCaffeine Keep us posted if you do please!
Mine started blooming the first part of January, I have the pink and white ones. They both are in bloom indoors in Houston. TFS😎
Wonderful!
Mocha is precious !!!! Thank you for this helpful video !
beautiful plant
Thanks for sharing! I really need to give mine some TLC so this is quite motivating
Thank you so much for the wealth of information you share in your videos. I live in Connecticut and it is such a pleasure to share the love of succulents with people who live so far away.
What type of pressurized watering system could you recommend? I have many hard to reach plants.
Thank you, Karel
You are so welcome! But I’m sorry I don’t use pressurized watering system. So I won’t be able to give you any recommendation.
Mocha is so cute! Does he or she have siblings? I want one! My thanksgiving cactus bloomed late, too.
Thank you. 🐶 Mocha’s siblings have all been adopted. They are all residing here in Las Vegas. ☺️
Just showed Mrs Zigs Mocha 😊 That made her smile 🙂 Good Schlumb Ana 🙂🙂🌵🌵
Aww. Even if she chews my cactus, her cuteness lets her get away with it. 😁
very beautiful collection
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks Anna always enjoy your videos. ❤ cute puppy
🐶 Thank you
Thank you for sharing beautiful and amazing Thanksgiving Cactus beautiful
Cute fur babies !☺
I just got some Easter cactus a few weeks ago, and I think I'm off to a bad start with them. They got too dry and I soaked them, now they seem wilty. so time will tell. lol
Mocha wants to eat the flowers.
I hope it’s not toxic to animals. I never really paid attention to plant toxicity as my older dog had no interest in my plants. 🫣
I am not sure as to how toxic those cacti are to cats and dogs, but from what I've read, they are toxic to them (probably more so with smaller animals).
They do like to be root bound . I can't remember what humidity they like, but when I see mine start to shrivel a little, I know they're thirsty! No direct sun (filtered light is ok but the more intense the light = the more shade they need). @CactusCaffeine
That would be an Easter cactus
