As the gravitational acceleration is 9.8m/s²(g). The depth of the well can be measured by d=½gt² And the time taken was: t=3.75 seconds d=0.5*9.8*(3.75)² => Depth: d= 68.90625 meter Therefore depth of the well is 226 ft. 🙏 I tried.
For absolutely correct calculation of depth the data is not sufficient. We need density and surface area of the stone to calculate the opposite drag offered by the air.
The well is 62.157958504 meters or 203.930310052493 feet approximately considering the time we heard from the well of dropping stone into it is 3.75 seconds. We can conclude the depth of the well is approximately 200 feet ignoring size and shape of the stone, humidity and temperature of that area and temperature in that well. Final Conclusion : Depth told by the owner is accurate and this well may had been build in 19s and even though they had dig the well correctly. Also I'm seeing heart given to this comment from the future!
