The edits at 24:53. Fantastic. (start it at 24:44 ) I'm at 300 hours and still fairly new with the game. Great video. It's always good to get different people's perspective. I mainly run Ogryn and Psyker and man, it is so much fun playing around with different builds. The mod that lets me have more than 5 build templates is essential. Lol.
Haha thank you for noticing! My daughters in the hospital (she’s getting out wednesday) and this made my day soo much better! I’m glad someone enjoyed it 👊🏽❤️
I just started playing Darktide this week so this video was extremely helpful. I played a ton of Vermintide 1 and 2 on Cataclysm so adjusting to this has not been too bad. I appreciate the content and you definitely earned a subscribe from me.
My builds are just roleplay builds, krieg armor? Melee build. Cadian shocktroop? Range damage build. This video is really good for me to get out of my opinionated build but tho Im gonna try some of these ideas later
Happened across this video randomly because I guess TH-cam realizes this game is my new addiction. I only have about 150 hours in the game now and I only have fully leveled Ogryn and Zealot (I'm working on the other two but haven't quite figured out how I want to play the Vet and Psyker). I've had a lot of fun on a Stealth Zealot and for a while I couldn't figure out what I liked about the Ogryn. I tried a gunlugger and it was fun af at first, but then I started to realize how annoying running out of ammo is (even with burst limiter override) and Skullbreaker Ogryn (left side of tree) was just too slow for me. Then I tried a tank Ogryn with a slab shield and mostly the middle tree, and it felt so fulfilling to play. That playstyle really gave me the "protect the lil'uns" roleplay I wanted. Being able to taunt everything and watch your team do their thing without having to worry (especially against monstrosities) feels really good, not to mention being able to revive uninterrupted and then just taunt again once their up so they can have room to breathe. I haven't done auric difficulties yet, but I'm still learning the game. Also, what you said about the Psyker shield I didn't even think of that. It really does encourage your team to stay in coherency because whenever I played with a Psyker who had shield, especially the bubble, I was always inclined to stay within it. It's like a beacon and is obviously such a relief against a lot of ranged enemies and those damn gunners who never stop firing.
Appreciate you watching!! This game is ADDICTING lol. The fact that you can use Ogryns kit like that as a "newer" player is great too. That will really help once you start trying Aurics. Ill be working on some builds for each class soon that could help once you dip your toes into Psyker and Vet! The biggest difference is they are both way less melee focused than Ogryn and Zealot. Vet is somewhat strong, health wise, but definitely focuses on gun play over melee. Psyker is... unique. Its the squishiest with not much damage but its CC, utility and control in a game is unmatched. Im glad that helped give you some insight! Its the small things that elevate your gameplay in this game. Now you can start to recognize when teams are separating whenever there isnt a psyker bubble and react accordingly!
@@TheRealAyeeZee Yeah, I used to play a lot of League of Legends (though it's been over a year since I stopped, especially since they added that invasive anti-cheat), so I got used to the idea of working as a team. Sometimes I do enjoy being the damage and the carry, but I also know how valuable a good tank or healer can be. Once I played a mission on Damnation, I quickly realized how important teamwork was. It also feels really good when someone after the game says "Good work big man, extra rations for you." I felt like a dog being told he was a good boy lol. For the Psyker, I'm thinking I probably will try more of a supportive role incorporating Smite since I've seen how valuable that level of crowd control can be against hordes. For the Vet, I'm looking into playing some kind of crit build with a recon lasgun and the shock trooper skill so I can focus on being almost pure ranged and not have to worry about ammo too much. I've always enjoyed playing more of a bruiser melee role in League as a jungler (sometimes tanks too) and when I played support I would either play a tank or some kind of enchanter (shields/heals), but I've never really liked spellcasters in any game I've played. Micromanaging resources has never been my strong suit, which I guess includes ammo in a game like this.
@@prime6624 “I feel like a dog being told he was a good boy” 😂😂💀💀 I love this! The community is always super cool about these interactions too. Psyker pure support is dope! Try smite and only use it for breathing room, brain burst pairs well with psionics to be a never ending elite shredder. If it’s your first time I would forego bubble actually so it doesn’t become a crutch. Sometimes psykers start there and can’t move away because bubble dumbs it down. Starting in reverse gives you a better all around feel for it. For Vet, try the VLD recon! It’s my favorite and it’s pinpoint accurate. Nades for heavy armor and gun for everything else. Paired with your melee of choice. I feeel that, I hate micromanaging but with some classes it’s just gonna be like that lol
I set my tag to aim/block instead of fire after I was informed of the noise pollution that was causing. Still tags pretty regularly without having to think about it.
Fatshark patched Consignment Yard HL-17-36 so it now always has a boss fight (I think) which means that you can insta kill it as zealot with CSF by pushing it of the edge by the power of the God Emperor. Always remember the proverbs, the Emperor protects.
What's with the number in parenthesis next to your level at the start? I'm coming back to the game after some time off and i know there's some stuff i missed out on
Coming in new to Darktide as of right now. I played Saltzpyre in both Vermintide and Vermintide 2. What would you recommend class wise? I've tried each class a few times, Zealot felt pretty consistent, I liked Psyker but it definitely seemed like there was a lot of learning required with his squishy you are. If it helps for the recommendation any, I always played the Witch Hunter Captain for Saltzpyre.
Hey sorry! Been super busy but I’d say zealot for melee, veteran for gunplay and Ogryn for tank depending on your mood. I’d leave Psyker alone until you get a much better feel of combat. Zealot is less punishable, Ogryn is slow but hits hard and that’s fun, and vet is like a jack of all trades. Try em all!
Solo zealots are the worst. I run book and support, hamner and revolver, toughness, max stamina and stamina regen / efficiency, makes zealot a fun melee support class. Immolation grenades are good. It's mostly to make some room while beating on monstrosity or doing objectives. Not for killing hordes, although works too but what's the point. Oh yeah Auric Maelstrom only. That's when the game gets really fun and crazy.
Their my wife's headset 😂 I didn't wanna be rude and take them off cuz it's kinda like a permanent fixture. My headphones broke but got some new ones so 🤷🏽

He has the true level mod on. It counts the number of times you have leveled up after 30
