It always amazes me that the two heavy hitting competitors like JB Hunt and Schneider, finally have succumbed to using the rails to transport their trailers. Old JB Must be turning in his grave, lol. As always a top notch video!! :o)

Well, since all of the comments, appear to be quite positive, mine may not be depending, on an answer to my query. You went out of your way, to capture the wheel trucks from one of those trains passing through, and I wasn't quite sure from which side of the tracks you were videoing. That being stated, your capture shown a rail fault, where the tie was most probably in a deteriorating condition, because the nails, that are supposedly holding the rails securely in place were not, and the nails had actually separated themselves from the tie. This is surely has a potential for being an extremely dangerous fault causing a possible chain of events, of which could be the reason for a deadly and costly derailment. Since the defect detector isn't set up or designed to find this fault, it is up to the track inspector rolling by on the high rail truck to locate, and order up a maintenence crew to make repairs. Every time the heavy railway car passes over this fault, the rail and the tie is placed under a severe deflection load, and is literally bouncing up and down with every passing wheel truck. Along side of the tracks, there is a little blue sign, and in this case, the U.S. flag, along with a plastic vase and flowers, are attached to a pedestrian barrier, next to this blue sign. On this sign is a toll free telephone number listed for anyone to telephone and report any kind a fail, fault, and or, an emergency to CSX. In the case of this potential fail, and an obvious fault, did you, or anyone else videoing from your point of reference make the telephone call to CSX and report the problem? If you or someone alongside of you did, then wonderful; bravo! If you didn't, and none alongside of you did not either make the call, why didn't you, and why wouldn't you? The track affected, is one the passenger service uses at this station. It literally seems Ludicrous for a derailment of a passenger train, and possible severe or fatal injuries to be sustained because someone could have taken action to prevent it, an no one took the initiative to do so. Amen, I've stated my piece.
The track situation you described is quite common. Neither I, nor anyone with me (that I'm aware of), called and reported it. I suspect there are parameters that are acceptable, and this case is probably within those parameters. However, at this moment, this track has a slew of the heavy-duty tie plates used in curves strewn along this section, so it's obvious that the gang is scheduled to come soon and repair/upgrade this section. Wow, would you really be feeling quite inadequate, and ashamed, had an incident occurred, at that very spot, after everyone had gone their merry way. What does every Local, State, Regional, and National Homeland Security Administration Officer say repeatedly? 'If you see something, say something!'

Calm down, track moving like that is surely common on old wooden ties, i see it daily, if people started calling their switch board would go down. As long as the spike is in the wood and there is only up and down movement with no side to side, they are good to go.

In the early 90's here in California, JB hunt was exclusive on Santa Fe, we would see solid JB Hunt trains daily.
