Hmm... that's strange. I'll have to take a look at this. I only have so many Raspberry Pi's, so I had to re-purpose the one I was using for Homebridge.
That's a good question. I don't remember why I chose that one. It might have been as simple as that was the first one that worked for me on the list. I will try to see if the most up to date one works as well.
Fantastic overview, really useful to see the setup, and use on application and on iOS all the way through.
Great video thanks I came a little late to homekit but trying to learn how to bring in non homekit like sonoff into homekit
Thank you for sharing this!
You should add Amazon links to the list of equipment used. Love the Flirc case.
I did put in the Amazon links for the Raspberry Pi's... but I'll also add the smart devices I used as well.
very cool I have 2 Raspberry P3's sounds like a project thanks.
Nice. Talking about things that are hard to find... Raspberry Pi's are a rare find these days.
HomeBridge + HomeKit question - can I control my home devices when I'm outside e.g. when travelling? Will it work?
Yes
Homebridge allows you to integrate with smart home devices that do not natively support HomeKit
@@guillaumedube8141 do I need to setup VPN to my home network or something?
Cool but now I can’t control my home when I’m away from home and I can’t go back to using my iPad 😢 any tips?

Is that Wyze plug-in the best and most secure one? Curious why you didn’t pick the most update one with 2022 date (wyze connected home Op) ?

@@EverydayTechTV thanks in advance if you could recommend the best Wyze plugin to install.
