    Hello Johnny, you have convinced me, I purchased this monitor and will be receiving it shortly. What is the best way to connect to a 2018 MacPro 15" Laptop (Radeon Pro 560X 4 GB
    Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB) and a Mac Studio (Studio MAC Video Support
    Simultaneously supports up to five displays:
    * Support for up to four Pro Display XDRs (6K resolution at 60Hz and over a billion colors) over USB-C and one 4K display (4K resolution at 60Hz and over a billion colors) over HDMI
    Thunderbolt 4 digital video output supports
    * Native DisplayPort output over USB‑C
    * Thunderbolt 2, DVI, and VGA output supported using adapters (sold separately)
    HDMI display video output
    * Support for one display with up to 4K resolution at 60Hz
    * DVI output using HDMI to DVI Adapter (sold separately))
    Thank you for your advice.

      The path of least resistance: Use the USB-C port on the MacBook Pro (use the included cable that arrives with the monitor), and then use the HDMI port on the Mac Studio. Unfortunately, the Mac Studio only support HDMI 2.0, so you'll be limited to 60Hz, but everything else will work perfectly.
      RECOMMENDED: Use the USB-C port on the MacBook to USB-C on the monitor (included cable). Use this cable for the Mac Studio, which is USB-C to DisplayPort - should give you 120Hz at 4K! amzn.to/3RYWaH6

    For that price you're better off getting the Aorus F048U. Similar specs for about half the price.

      I have the FO48U but I wouldn't recommend it. I am going to return it because of the trash firmware done by gigabyte. Constant little screen popping up in the middle of my screen telling me I have to turn off my panel for safety. Very annoying especially when playing shooters.
      I would recommend an LG C2 series as it's brighter and also available in 42" which is a much better size than the 48".

      @Sean Difronzo Exactly what i thought. The Aorus F048U only costs 830€ and the Mobiuz EX480UZ over 1610!

    • @nuttyjunior
      @nuttyjunior ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sean Difronzo not sure why it's happening but there's no way to turn it off and I don't see anything online to turn it off. For that reason I'm unsatisfied with it.

      Benq has better picture quality than others in my experience. Don’t ask me why it just looks sharper

    Cheers for the video. Have you encountered any auto-dimming after you disabled the brightness features? Have you also encountered any ghosting effects during fast mouse movements?

    Subscribed and just want to say thank you for putting together videos that focus on both work and gaming. A Lot of other channels always brush aside the productivity side of working on a monitor. I am looking to upgrade my setup and your videos have been a great help! One question, do you find working with the 48-inch at such a close range?

    • @JohnnyMcPro
      @JohnnyMcPro  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a true joy to create these videos! You get used to it honestly - especially when you add in productivity. The large size just feels like 2 or three large monitors glued together!

    Hi. Could somebody please help me? I'm thinking about buying this gaming monitor while it's on special.
    Question 1) Can I use my PlayStation 3 to watch movies on it?
    Question 2) Can I hook up a Nintendo Switch? Is there any difference in picture quality?
    Question 3) Would operating a wired keyboard and mouse while sitting 3 metres from the screen be an ideal viewing distance to read game subtitles, reading emails and surfing the net via my Lenovo Legion Pro 7i gaming laptop?
    I want to buy an OLED monitor that does all three: Gaming, movies and surfing the net all while reducing the melatonin-destroying blue light. I don't want to buy a Smart spying TV with genotoxic Wi-Fi. I'm hoping that a gaming monitor is my safest bet all while being able to enjoy watching movies, playing games and surfing the net.
    I wonder if this is the right monitor for me. Thank you.

    So in a direct comparison this VS the Aorus FO48U - is the BenQ worth doubling the Aorus price? (Atleast thats what it is here in Norway?)

    • @JohnnyMcPro
      @JohnnyMcPro  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I share a bit on that in my video above, but they are very similar, aside from the Matte screen. I think the color accuracy on this BenQ might be a bit better, which makes sense since BenQ is renoun for their in-house calibrations.

      @@JohnnyMcPro I actually bought the Aorus 48 after watching your review video. I agreed on everything you said. I really like it so far and just one minus is that the USB C cant deliver enough power to my laptop when working. Everything else is perfect. This BenQ is really similar to the Aorus but the price is way too expensive. If i could choose which one to buy again, i would get the Aorus anyway. Thank you for your videos!

    Seems nice enough, but the $1799 price point is a total non-starter. It should be priced about $500 less. You can get a ASUS PG48UQ with higher 138hz refresh rate and higher peak brightness for $1499.

      On Mac, I have it set to P3 color mode, then dropped the brightness down to like 60-70 - also, make sure your Mac is set to the P3 color profile. If you're on PC, you can also use P3 color mode.

    What is USB 3.2 Downstream ? As far as I know, there are 4 options of USB 3.2, which are:
    USB 3.2 Gen 1 x 1
    USB 3.2 Gen 1 x 2
    USB 3.2 Gen 2 x 1
    USB 3.2 Gen 2 x 2
    Dude, you need to use the universal common language. Looks educated, but obviously not.
