  • Marakit Island is a small island encompassing roughly 0.3 square kilometers, with a coastline stretching approximately 2.6 kilometers. It sits idyllically about 500 meters from the mainland shore of Araceli. During low tide, a sandbar emerges, allowing visitors to cross the island on foot. During high tide, the island can be accesseb only by boat.
The island's low-gradient beach, with its fine white sand and crystal-clear waters, makes it a favorite picnic spot among locals, especially for families with children and non-swimmers. The scenic vista boasts a breathtaking blue-green seascape.
For those seeking adventure, a 10-minute hike leads to a hill offering panoramic views. The more intrepid can even traverse the hill to the other side of the island. Additionally, snorkeling opportunities abound in designated areas teeming with diverse fish.
Low tide presents a unique chance to explore. An approximately 20-minute walk across the exposed sandbar, connects Marakit Island back to the mainland, providing an exciting way to conclude a visit, and return to your, starting point.
