We drove into the heart of Henry Coe State Park for a day hike to Mississippi Lake for the once-a-year back-country weekend (BCW) event.
    ...
Trails We Hike was created by Jeremy Pruitt & Jim Smyth
Original music by Jeremy Pruitt (acoustic guitar) & Jim Smyth (percussion).
Video was shot on a Sony a6500 and a GoPro Hero 4 and was edited in Adobe Premiere w/ animation from Adobe After Effects.
The acoustic guitar is a Larrivee OM-40 in CGCGGC tuning, and the percussion is a Schlagwerk Bass Cajon and Cajinto with egg shakers. All instruments were recorded on a Zoom H6 and mixed using Avid Pro Tools First.

Vehicles in a wilderness area? Blasphemy! LOL! Another great hike and awesome video, guys. What a wonderful place to explore, beautiful area, especially down around the lake. Thanks so much for showing us this place. I wouldn't mind seeing it for myself someday, but I'll pass on the tarantula activity LOL!

Well, technically we were able to drive up to the wilderness area, but not in it :) I know you were kidding, but the wilderness area is deep inside the park and not the most fun hike to get to. So this is a great weekend to drive the fire roads as opposed to hiking them for miles. But, I do get it. don't really want to hear vehicles when you're out there, but given the size of the park, it's easy to get away from it. Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you so much! Happy to hear you enjoyed it! Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment! I have to admit, we have been quite a bit busier lately, so we're woefully behind on watching episodes. Excited to to catch up on your vids! (and Smell N Roses for that matter)

Another great shot video. Good combination of info, nature shots and adventuring. I'm originally from CA but I don't think I've ever been to this park so it was good to explore with you guys. Not sure I'm stoked about the tarantulas though, lol

Hahahaha! Well, the event is an outdoor BBQ with music and such, so maybe after a couple of beers? ;)

I love HC Park. You guys should have brought fishing gear. That lake is full of Bass. My friends and I pack in float tubes!!

Right on, that sounds awesome! That's good to know, we'll definitely have to do that next trip. We actually almost went to Frog's lake a couple weeks ago, but plans changed. We'll probably get out there soon again. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time, we appreciate it!

It’s called Backcountry Weekend and it’s once a year in spring. Here is a link to the 2018 one that just happened: coepark.net/pineridgeassociation/programs-events/annual-events/backcountry-weekend

I love scaring the crap out of hikers on my bike because they are so oblivious to there surroundings when they hike. You hikers are a strange breed
