You need to define your brand, personalise it, and as we say here in Africa, hawk your market. Be loud and present about your brand. Finally, be patient. It takes work, it takes consistency, and it takes hard work to grow any good, time defying brand.

Personally, i think its a good idea . But, leaving them at random places will not actually make people notice them. You should maybe go to cosmetics store and ask them to give there customers one of your business cards if they are ok with it. (Let them test your product first)
