My wife is a travel nurse and we just found your channel. I started a traveling home repair business and We've been doing this around the country for nearly 4 years. We love it. We don't RV because we pull my tool trailer that also carries our few belongings. We didn't sell our farm and we get home occasionally. You have a new follower
I am the nurse. My husband and my kids are so excited. They r homeschooled. We are planning on doing this next year!! Just travel as a family as I work. Hope to meet u guys.
This was awesome!!! I love hearing everyone’s stories, how they got started, what motivated them to try it, and their advice. Thank you so much for asking us to be a part of it. We miss you guys. 💜
I use to travel years ago as a single man but quit when I got married and started flight nursing. My family will be purchasing an RV this year and we are hitting the road. It’s a bit different now days. Back when I traveled smart phones weren’t even a thing so I’m sure that’s changed the game. I’m an ER and ICU nurse.
I don’t know if I told you this before or not, but I am a traveling CNA, I am in the process of buying a school bus and will be converting that. I really look forward to hopefully meeting you at some point that would be awesome.
What do the husband's do? The ones that aren't nurses or in the medical field at all. How do the kids feel? How does school work? I'm a new follower. Research starts noe
What are some ways that you can save for the future (retirement pension). How are you getting benefits for you and your family? I would like to do it but I want to be vested with my county benefits first.
John has a retirement plan through Atlas (his agency) and we have mutual funds that we are able to significantly add to every month. We have never been able to financially afford to save like we can now.
I want to do this but what do you do with your kids if both spouses work?? My husband works remote, so that's not the issue...the issue is we have 3 kids. What do you do with the kids when both spouses are working? Do travel companies help with finding care/babysitters?
That is tough for sure. Some families try to alternate schedules. We met one family who found local day day camps to take the kids to. It seems like a logistical nightmare though to be honest. I don't think many agencies help look for daycare to be honest.
We are packing up and hitting the road next week! I have a toddler. How do you meet other travelling families when you are living out of hotels/Airbnbs?
Hi Ron, so excited to have another Dialysis RV family out there! We don’t have a TH-cam channel but certainly would love to connect. Feel free to add me on fb. Jennifer Goff (profile pic is my family looking out at the Grand Canyon). 😊
Who stays to homeschool the kids? Who watches the kids when you’re doing a 12 hour shift. How are the parents intimate in such close quarters. When someone goes number 2 does it smell up the whole or part of the RV?
Great questions. Kristin stays stays with the kids, where there's a will there's a way in the bedroom 🤪, and yes sometimes it smells when someone poops.
Bwahaha, call me when you make 200K a year and take 5 months off, keep people alive against the odds and jump out of helios on the side of mountains to go save people bro. We'll talk Alpha then mmkay...🤣🤣🥱
It’s good to hear from the adults, it would also be good (and interesting) to hear from the kids.
A community within a community. Awesome!

Pretty cool too see so many letting go of stuff to be able to have more adventures. This lifestyle is such a great opportunity to make memories!

I’m planning to travel next year with my husband and son - what do you guys do for health insurance ? do you go through the agency?

Oh great question! Check out this FB group facebook.com/groups/travelnursefamilies/?ref=share There might be travelers in your area.
Interesting.
Wow! Is there a way we can follow the Dialysis nurse couple? We’re also Dialysis and going to be RVing:)

John don't you wish Christen was a Nurse? Luck me my wife is a RN and I'm a RT. Travel retirement is going to be awesome!
Nah, she works hard enough to be a full-time mom, teacher, and influencer! I'm super proud of how she manages to wear so many hats successfully.
