Sorry but these new "Fast release" vice-grip are anything but. No one in our shop wants to use them, not sure what Irwin was thinking here. As soon as you apply any kind of pressure these things require two hands to release and sometimes won't come loose even then.
I got a pair of these, 6", and when the jaws are clamped tight onto something, they are WAY harder to open than the old style. With the old style you could move the lever and open the jaws. With these you have no leverage. Pretty much unusable. Certainly Won't be buying these going forward
