When I was a female teenage fan growing up with Star Wars in the late 80's, I never wanted to be Luke or Han Solo. I wanted to be Leia. Not only are they destroying escapist heroes for boys, they are destroying escapist heroes for girls as well. I feel for the boys and girls being raised in these dystopian times.

I am pushing 35. I still own VSH tapes of a Xmas rerun of the OG trilogy, I recorded with my dad when I was 10. I destroyed TWO store bought VHS tapes of Episode 1 cause I watched it so much. I LIVED Star Wars all my life. I took my wife to see Episode 7, I hoped I'll watch new Star Wars with my kids...Alas, now I am a shell of my former self, my inner child slaughtered. My four girls and two boys now have kids of their own. It is now seven families who despise at Disney Star Wars but now despise the Disney brand and want nothing to do with it. I hate that I can't identify with any part of American culture these days. The people making movies and tv shows consistently go out of their way to NOT include the majority of people in this country. "It wasn't made for you." Yeah, we get it. When Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith came out, there was 0% chance that there would be a bunch of preachy social politics in it. You just didn't have to worry about that. You could expect them to just be regular movies. Now, it's a given that literally every piece of media that comes will have at least some sort of this BS in it. It's really depressing.

Yes, we long-time fans are at the point of rage and cancelled our Disney+ sub and sold our tickets to next years Star Wars convention in Japan. They knew this was going to fail, everyone knew this was going to fail. I have no clue whats going on with Disney, but its not trying to run a profitable business. I guess as long as Wall street supports the stock, they can keep going. Just about any other company I think would have gone under by now. The idea for this show should've been rejected like Disney rejected the idea of Rebel Moon being a Star Wars story. This isn't Star Wars. Remember folks this is DISNEY Star Wars.
True, but unless they sell it to someone else, this is all you are going to get. Any outfit that would think about owning it has all this baggage concerning Disney's take on it. They'd have to figure out how to make this all go away. I don't think ignoring the Disney
output and pretending it never happened would work. The longer the poofest goes on, a lot more of the OG fans age out and then you have a population that doesn't care if something is branded "Star Wars". I think that is already happening.

The woke propagandist parasites, they know they cannot get to people that are older, they go after the youth. Got to keep them out, but how many versions of the original Star Wars is out there? Most of the New Hope is changed for the worse. The other two films are fime.

Its becoming a norm to tell the fans to F off, then blame the fans for bad viewership numbers. Doctor Who did it, Star Wars did it, the Boys is now doing it.
I'm so disappointed in The Boys showrunners for that. It always made fun of both sides, and was fun to watch. But this season it feels much more one sided and telling your fans to go watch something else isn't exactly the best idea. Then on top of that, anyone who hates what they've done to Kimiko and Frenchie are called bigots and homophobic, when it's nothing like that all. They've basically thrown away 3 seasons of character building. When he shouted at her that they're not joined at the hip, my heart broke. It doesn't have to be a romantic love between them, but don't descontruct what they did have. 😢

What "The Timeless Child" did for Dr. Who; episode 3 of The Acolyte has now done for Star Wars. Disney could save money by holding the funeral service for both TV series together. This might be the most important clip out there to explain what's going on in corporate media. AZ nailed it in talking about college indoctrination and how those people are running the show now and Jeremy nailed it talking about how Disney is grooming the younger generations to just accept this trash.
I remember when this all started with Disney purchasing these franchises, and I tried warning people that this would happen. And we went from, "that would never happen, you're full of crap, Disney will only make these franchises better."...To, "so what, what is the big deal?"...To, "So its happening, just accept it & shut-up."...To, "Okay, this is getting f'n ridiculous." ... And now we are at the stage of, "When does this crap stop?"
The time to push back on this is when it first reared its ugly pink & blue hair, NOT when its infested everything and the people who push it are cemented in place.
I remeber the day Disney got Star Wars, the first thing that came to mind is: Are they going to make jedi and sith into Disney princesses now? And what good intressting prodjects are they going to cancel? Star Wars 1313 was the first thing to go. I was looking forward to that game.
I have seen this happen with fandoms of some sports teams. Occasionally you'll get an owner that neglects the team or does things against the team and the fans absolutely hate the ownership (and the ownership hates the fans).

Many of my friends are Star Wars fans. Observing their shift since The Force Awakens from hype (pre-TFA), benefit of the doubt (post-TFA), annoyance and rage (post-TLJ), disappointment (post-RoS), hope (post-Mando s1-2), betrayal and anger (post Mando s-3, BF, and OWK), pessimism (pre-Asoka), to now apathy has been intriguing. Most of them watched little to no Asoka and none have watched any of the Acolyte.
I feel for SW fans. I like Star Wars, but I enjoy watching guys like Mauler and The Little Platoon destroy these abominations fo much that the decline has been a lot of fun.
